We tried the meat platter and fries—while the portion was generous, the meat lost heat quickly, likely due to being served on a metal plate. The fries, however, were brought out first, well before the meat, which felt a bit off in terms of timing. The quality of the meat was decent but not exceptional; it’s tasty enough for a local meal, but not worth a special trip from the CBD. The staff experience was hit or miss—some were friendly and attentive, while others seemed less enthusiastic and not particularly helpful. It’s a fine choice if you're in the area, but there are likely better options for those venturing further afield.
If you love meat then this place is for you. We went here for lunch for my hubby's birthday and it was a great choice. Service was good, food was good and reasonably priced too. We had a really good day and will be back to try the bigger platters.
Terrific atmosphere and fast, friendly service. Self-serve for plates, cutlery, and takeaway boxes. The latter is an excellent idea.nOrdered the family fun platter and one entree - easily enough for three hungry adults/teen. Mac and cheese was a bit plain, sadly. Chips were nice. Beef brisket was lovely. Sticky-date pudding was way too sweet for us - couldn't finish it. If you like really sweet, you'll be fine. Apple Crumble was wonderful. Some great meal-theme nights.
Been here twice now, once with family with kids in tow, & once with some mates, & it was great for both. Food was on point, couldn't even start to list what we ate cause we hit the whole menu, but the brisket moist, pulled pork rich & the burnt ends crispy were some highlights. Also a great range of brews... will be going back to work my way through the rest of them. Staff were attentive & knowledgable about their offerings, great atmosphere all round.
Delicious American style food for decent pricing! Beef brisket was my personal favourite. Can’t wait to go back.
