Slow build times. My neighbours who started building 4 weeks after us had their home completed 4 weeks before us. They built my ceilings 3c too low, as their tradies dont understand the concept of reading a plan. Sloppy workmanship all around really... my garage leaks in the rain and they didnt put in a piece of ceiling board because they couldnt work out that leaving a gap in the ceiling was bad. Theres gaps between the bricks and ceiling in 3 places. 2 in the garage, 1 in the bedroom. They make you use Affinity windows. Dont. Affinity are awful as well. They do an incredibly bad job at plastering the inside of the house. I could get a monkey to do a better job at it. Ive stopped 4 people from building with BGC with all the problems Ive had. Our contact with BGC refused to answer questions we had, flat out ignoring us, and we were never able to get an answer as to when the house would be finished, just that "We will know at a later date." Of course we will! Thats how building works! If you absolutely must build with BGC, consider just building the whole thing yourself instead.
