Don’t trust the photos. The whole place very shabby. Our key wouldn’t open door so they tried three different rooms to be able to open door without kicking it. Don’t book the “deluxe” room as it is upstairs and on two levels. Bottom level single bed and bathroom with shower over bathvery dated then up some steep stairs a double bed and kitchenette. Weird setup. We then wanted a single level room and we’re not refunded the difference in price $40 pillows were terrible. No blankets just thin coverlette had to have heating on all night. The walls paper thin. Party on in next room and upstairs. Yelling etc. kids screaming until 1.30 am. Then people vomiting outside our door at 4.30am. What a nightmare.
This Is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed at ,no way should it have Best in the title . The room we were given i would say it was from the sixties. We complained and the second room was not much better . Dents in the walls , dirty spots all over the blinds from dead insects ,rusty soap dish in the shower Electric cables coming out the walls in the cupboards . The Electric appliances were years past what should have been the test date . We walked past many rooms and they all looked like the same as this .nThe room photos on the Web site are false and totally misleading .nWe complained and The manager did not answer any of my issues and told me we could have 20% off a future stay .nI complained to Best Western Head office they said it's down to the manager. I would not stay here again if you paid me .nAnd after Head Office response even another one.
I came to the Tudor at Box Hill on Friday for a funeral & was booked in room 125.nnWell where do I start I can't as it was a miserable experience, and it smelt like a animal may have died in there the smell was so bad. Cobwebs were hanging from the corners of the ceiling and it just looked tired and worn past its due date. The carpet OMG it was filthy so filthy beyond words and the fridge leaked and a questionable brown mark was on the bathroom door which didn't close.nnI obviously asked to get moved over the road to the Tudor apartments and this was just as bad possibly a little better as it didn't have the smell.nnThe sheets had not been changed and had a stale smell about them along with the quilt and the blanket.nThe toilet had not been cleaned and the bedside tables were not wiped and unclean. The walls were unclean and a massive leak mark was on the ceiling in the master bedroom which had been painted over.nnThe 2 couches were filthy and just unclean and it just needs a good steam clean.nnThe balcony was filthy and had mould growing on the walls.nnThe hallways from the lift were dirty very dirty and the carpet was worn and unclean.nnThey obviously do not have any pride in the accommodation they are providing to guests who are paying money which is unacceptable.nnIf you stay here please make sure your tetanus shots are up to date or better still stay far away as possible.
This place is absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed in. Room was way out of date. TV did not work and the no heating at all.nStaff was very rude to deal with and upon check out I was told my bond would be returned in a couple of days.nI called 8 days after to be told call dayshift. Then the next night I was told to call nightshift.nAnd now when I call they just hang up!!!nAbsolutely disgraceful and this hotel needs to be investigated by consumer affairs!!nnI am calling Consumer affairs to place a formal complaint and hope this very doggy hotel is closed down until fixed.
My wife and children have regularly been staying here in most cases on a weekly basis over the last year staying from 2 nights but being able to extend our stays in some cases 10 days with no issues at all.nnConnie is the most supportive and understanding owner of this establishment and also provides outstanding service at a more than reasonable price.nnAll the rooms that I have stayed in and that would be close to 12 have all been clean, safe and comfortable.
