Berkelouw Books and Cafe is the hub of creativity and comfort in Westfield, Hornsby!

Story

The Berkelouw Hornsby store opened in November 2013 and is located on the link bridge connecting the two sides of Westfield Hornsby. It is a spacious, light filled store ideal for our salon which combines our bookstore with a fabulous café wine bar. Our shelves are stocked with the latest new book releases as well as an extensive array of books for children and readers of all ages including fiction, biography, history, sport, art, cooking and design.

We have a Rare Books cabinet which showcases a selection of treasures and collectible books. Early in 2014 we will be offering a large selection of vintage and quality secondhand books which will flow out onto the bridge intermingled with café tables and chairs.

People looking for gifts for friends and family will be pleased by our large range of notebooks, lovely leather bags, engaging toys and games for children and book related items that celebrate the importance of words and reading in our world.

We really pride ourselves on offering informed, friendly customer service and providing a space that can be a community hub. Whether we are suggesting something new, a perennial favourite or sourcing books stocked at other Berkelouw stores, we will offer you valuable service that we hope will keep you coming back to us.

Join our community to find out about our Writers Live events where our customers meet authors in person and hear of their insights and stories. The 'first-Wednesday' book club brings together readers for a lively discussion once a month and our kids book club provides the opportunity for young booklovers to share their enthusiasm with fellow-readers.
