Brewhaha has been one of the busiest cafe on the old Hornsby side of the railway. They have expanded and has become pretty big. Outdoor seating allows for people with furry companions to come and enjoy their food. The food was average cafe breakfast and coffee was ok, but the service could use some improvement.
Great cafe' with both indoor and outdoor sitting Coffee is good, would be great if you prefer it a bit bitter Chocolate cake which was served with ice cream and a stawberries sauce A great group of friendy staff I would recommend Brewhaha
Asian waitress was a little rude but other staff were pleasant. Stuart the owner, is great to talk to about motorbikes and will cater for a group visit. Average prices, tasty food. I'd go back.
Sat down whilst I was at work, the individual I was having lunch with ordered food and myself a pot of tea, I had prepared lunch earlier a sandwich, was told by a person sitting next to me, confirmed with wait staff that this was the owner that I cannot bring my own food in here as it is a ‘restaurant’, even though I had already ordered a pot of tea and the individual I was with also ordered food. I found this incredibly rude and ignorant of the fact that this individual has no idea of the reason why I had to bring my own lunch. He assumed it was because I was gluten free. No concept or understanding of an individuals financial or health wellbeing/needs. His decision and response to me was incredibly abrupt. The service here was terrible and I will never be putting any money towards this place, even for a pot of tea.
Just aviod this place, seriously, it is not worth your time and/or money. We were a bunch of cyclists finishing our route and decided to grab a coffee from this place. From the old guy I think is the owner, by the look of it and the other reviews: 1. He approach to us straight away and said: "lower your voice, I can't even hear my thoughts" Dude, this is a cafe not a royal tea room or a church. 2. He approached for a second time saying: "keeping down, this is not a pub" I mean, I think, I'd rather had a beer than a coffee at your shop with that attitude, to be honest. 3. My wife went to pay our coffees and even with the "10% sunday surcharge" the card show an error at first, he say: "dont you have another card, like a REAL card to pay with?". Then of course, the payment came through the second time. My man, tsk tsk tsk, go home and drink camomile or something. Coffee was excellent even tho, they never did a cold coffee for my friend. Service FROM the waitresses was very nice, sorry to her as we were kind of a lot of ppl, hehehe Again, avoid the place, I have never would go again neither the 12 of us.
There are many places to get coffee and food in Hornsby but if you are looking for good service, avoid this place. The owner/manager is incredibly rude and abrupt. I feel sorry for his staff.
Our favourite breakfast/brunch place in Hornsby. Food is delicious with super friendly staff and a nice casual ambience. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
What a pleasant surprise Brewhaha is. I had breakfast here today after a big cycle and got far more than expected. The menu is very creative with a few twists on old favourites. I had the Pumpkin Waffle with Prosciutto and Fig which was incredibly good. Coffee is of good standard. Most importantly, the service was 1st class. The 'old' side of Hornsby is becoming the far better side!
Great little cafe, good range of light meals, drinks and homemade cakes & slices. Interesting memorabilia on the walls, including a motorbike at the entrance. Friendly service, food arrived quickly and with nice presentation. Vegetarian options: The food is cafe style food with some unique menu items such as breakfast risotto. Mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. Kid-friendliness: It's a kid friendly venue and has a kids menu. Parking: Limited street parking is available right outside the restaurant, there is more in nearby streets, and a parking station close by behind the RSL. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs at the main entrance. Outdoor seating is also available.
I haven't had food here so can't comment, although it does look very good however the coffee is always hit and miss. Sometimes Its very bitter and sometimes very milky. It doesn't ever taste the same each time and the service is quite slow. I've waited 25 minutes before just for a take away coffee
