The facilities are nice, but there are a lot of noisy people. The tables and the couch are a little dirty sometimes!
I use the digital library more than the physical one.nBut this branch is always a pleasure to visit.nThey have fast checkouts and returns.nEvents are often posted on the board near the entrance.nTheir community space is good for small gatherings.nNot a huge building, but well-utilized.nReliable service and solid selection.
Tip: Bring noise-cancelling headphones if you plan to study here.nnThis is the noisiest library I’ve ever visited.nnThe second-floor study area is constantly disrupted by people playing audio on public computers without headphones. The reception desk is right next to the study zone, and both staff and visitors talk loudly with no regard for those trying to concentrate.nnThe space has terrible acoustics — no soundproofing, lots of echo, and a poor layout. It feels like no thought was given to creating a quiet environment. A real waste of otherwise great facilities and setting. Definitely not suitable for quiet or serious study.
Trying to understand why on earth this library is so loud? Literally people screaming, taking 30 minute phone calls, and everyone freely having regular volume non-stop conversations? Even the librarians are having obnoxious loud personal conversations? Feels like you’re in a cafe or shopping centre with children and adults screaming and arguing. Why do they allow this atmosphere?nFacilities are quite new and upgraded. So it’s a comfortable place to work and study. But the atmosphere is an out-of-control house party.
Good Library, close to shops and food, but can be very noisy if you're studying, and it does get pretty busy. Bring a good noise-cancelling headphones to survive. haha
