Good treck. Nice bit of climbing

Love this climb, though not for the faint hearted. If you are going to climb Mt Beerwah make sure you take a friend, have appropriate attire and only go as far as you feel comfortable.

If you plan to climb Mount Beerwah and have no rock climbing experience, the wrong shoes, no water, vertigo, or it's been raining and the surfaces are slick - please take care. Lots of people do climb it just fine, but the first steep section is quite daunting for anyone inexperienced or perhaps just expecting a pleasant hike. When I was there about 25% of people decided not to attempt it. ----------------------------------- • They say to allow 3-4 hours for the return trip up and back down. • Car park at the bottom warns of thefts in the area and not to leave valuables in your vehicle. • About 600m bushwalk/hike up some rock stairs to the base. The mountain itself is very impressive and the views are amazing. • Some toilets and seating near the start of the path • Road in is unsealed for about a kilometer and has some moderate corrugations • While in the area you can visit the other glasshouse mountains and climb some of them too.
