Story

We are a locally owned family run funeral home, crematorium and monumental masons.

Situated in Palmerston North, Beauchamp Chapel can hold small and large funerals seating 200 plus and provides a reception lounge for refreshments. The funeral home on John F Kennedy Drive was built in 2004 and designed by local architect David Chapple. Its modern design allows us to offer our families the most up to date technology, including webcasting all over the world.

Built in 1926 our Feilding funeral home is set amongst mature trees making it the perfect setting for a unique funeral on the lawn or in our small lounge seating around 40. We also have catering facilities available.

Our Marton funeral home has been renovated to a comfortable setting for a service for around 40.

Beauchamp Funeral Home in Palmerston North. In the past 12 months, June 2021 & June 2022 we had to say good bye to our parents, first our mum in 2021 and more recently our dad June 2022. We chose Beauchamp FH in 2021 on recommendation of very close family friends, as all family members are living overseas the service for mum had to be arranged from Australia as we were not able to fly to New Zealand due to COVID  limitations. Mum’s funeral service was absolutely perfect, it was therefore not a difficult choice who to get involved when our dad past away in June 2022. This time as the organiser of dad’s service, I was able to enter New Zealand to be present in person and to be able to organise the service with the funeral director Dale face too face. All Beauchamp team members involved in this funeral service were very professional, easy to approach, very patient with all my queries and dealt with me in a very personal manner - from organising to execution of the funeral service we couldn’t have asked for more. I, we as a family, highly recommend Beauchamp Funeral Home in Palmerston North.

We would recommend Beauchamps for their guidance, kindness and for the respect with which they treated our mother. They were there every step of the way, giving us the service we wanted, the burial we wanted and reassurance when we needed it. Our mother was dearly loved and we were comforted by the way she was able to have her family around her so that she was never alone.

We had discussed the choice of Funeral Home with our mother in the last years of her life so when she died in August 2022, we contacted Beauchamps. From the first contact, Anthony guided us through the process with understanding and patience. It was important to us that Mum looked like her usual self at the viewing and this was achieved with sensitivity. We needed time to seek input from all siblings and this, along with our situation of having a local funeral service and then taking Mum to Auckland for burial, wasn't a problem. At the service, the memory/attendance book was outstanding and the photo tribute was well crafted. The funeral home staff there on the day were adept at organising and schooling the pallbearers, and nothing was a problem. I can highly recommend Beauchamps to anyone needing a Funeral Director as our experience exceeded expectations.

Thanks to Brent and team for a great service. Especially thankful for the considered words throughout the service and particularly at the end. Also appreciate the no stress attitude around Covid restrictions. Thanks also for the availability to meet and see the venue beforehand to allow a high degree of customisation. Also for going the extra mile by dropping in to briefly see family at home and some last minute flexibility in arranging audio- visuals. What an amazing and wonderful experience we had. From the first moment we met, Dean was very professional, compassionate, easy going and great to do deal with. Dean was very supportive and assisted us through the whole process and when we requested anything, Dean was very accommodating.  Beauchamp's online portal was also great to use and a fantastic tool. Our family had the most wonderful experience with Brent Le Quesne and his team. They were honest, sincere, and very respectful. Brent went out of his way to ensure that our every request was carried out promptly, accurately and with the greatest respect. Anthony and his team are very professional and highly considerate. I truly appreciated their excellent communication, their range of liaison services beyond the funeral, and for having a simple and secure online portal to manage/share everything. On the day, Dad's funeral was set up perfectly to include out-of-town attendees, with more than one web camera employed during the service.  Thank you again.
