the cafe is orderany as well as 1 of the pools is cloased for renovations also the sauna is in long overdue for a re- do-all over again other than that the GYM is first class your get a 5* Rating for this &tgis only oh sorry the staff try!!? pitty for the managment side of things or not! $$$$
The service is poor, the coffee is worse. I felt like I was interrupting something very important in someone's life when I was eventually served at the cafe. It took a very long time to make the long black coffee I ordered. It also tasted like American coffee ie dirty dishwater. At least it was really, really hot and burnt my mouth. Serves me right for grizzling!
Really need to understand what customers want. BUSINESS is not about waiting for customers to buy standard products. Customers want an experience to bring them back. Thinking about all the customers walking past and the lost opportunity to find out what they want.
Normally I would give 4 stars for Bayswater waves, however my experience today was not very good. I go to use the spa facility and hydrotherapy pool as I suffer back pain. There are about 12 or so jets in the spa with only 2 powerful enough to do my back any good. I'm happy to wait my turn for the use of 1 of these 2. Today the pumps broke down due to a storm. The staff closed the spa and hydrotherapy pool. The outside pool and waves and slide were also shut down not that I use them. As there was nothing left for me personally to use I asked for a voucher to return so I could use the facility I had paid for already. The on duty supervisor Frazer said all he could do was offer me and my wife $3 each return for the inconvenience. I feel ripped off paying $22 to use facilities that I could not use. I did not want a full refund, only a return voucher to use facilities I had paid to use already. He informed my that he could not do that and if I didn't want the $3 each refunded I could make a complaint n writing. I do not hold him responsible as he was only doing what the protocol dictated but I still feel ripped off and will be making a formal complaint in writing to the shire of Bayswater.
Disgusting! Spoiled Soy milk” I would leave zero stars if I could. The coffee was so disgusting because they used spoiled milk. I have very bad vomit straight after that. Even though when I told the reception lady no apologise from her.
The indoor pools have been excellent. Even with swim lessons happening in the same pool the children were well controlled by staff. The lap lanes were well organised but what I found to be the best was the people I shared the pool with. I've been to other pools where the public have been abrasive and rude but never here. It's always a pleasant crowd. Highly recommend it.
Impolite cafe lady, refused to give son hot chips because he did not have enough money even though he was 20 cents short plus the chips don't taste good The water slide is closed Mon-Fri only open on the weekend and holidays, Son was upset that he could not go on the water slide, was looking forward but ended up crying because of they changing the days of the water slide all though the pools are great. But I would not recommed the cafe unpleasant lady made my son cry plus there is junk food, next time I go i'll bring my own snacks.
Heated pools were cold. Life savers chatting away to each other oblivious to a man in the pool calling out to them. I was looking at putting my boy in swimming lessons but I felt for the kids there the other day shivering away, needs to be warmer in the cooler months if going to do lessons for kids. Slide was also closed and no waves. Maybe summertime is better...
I swim regularly at Bayswater Waves. It is a great pool and the staff are friendly and helpful. But I have a problem with the showers. They are designed as "water saving", fair enough. But what idiot would design a water saving shower that can't be turned off? Or showers that are so easily turned on accidentally? Here's what happens. You are having a shower, almost finished, and the water stops! Do you walk out and dry the soap off with your towel? No. You wait the required 30 seconds before you can start the shower again, rinse yourself off and walk out leaving the shower running, because you can't turn it off. I regularly see showers running with no body using them. So much for water saving!
A great place to meet up with friends and enjoy the delicious food and what has always been excellent service from the staff at the Waves Cafe. The milk shakes are great but the smoothies are even better! We can highly recommend the wraps, especially the chicken teriyaki, we are still working our way through the menu. I'm still confused as to why reviews for the pool are left on the cafe listing and vice versa.
