The same old Baysie pub it's always been, but they have recently give it some love. A kick of paint, some new furniture and an updated menu. The Angus burger was on point, also tried the chef special which was cannelloni with pumpkin and baked blue cheese. Delicious. The outdoor bar area looks great for a Sunday session on a sunny day.
We've dined here previously, but this is our first visit since the completed renovations of the dining area have taken place. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Our meals were both steaks and they were prepared perfectly. Just how we liked. Looking forward to returning again soon.
Food was exceptional today.... the bistro looks beautiful. Staff were friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend going for a lovely afternoon.
Legit I think every pub should be able to nail a steak and chips.nnChips were over cooked to the point the fork didn’t pierce them and the inside were just as crispy as the outside.nMushroom sauce was watery and lacked flavour.nThe salad was boring but who cares about a salad.nBut the steak was mostly fat and if it was 300grams 230 of it was fat. And the meat was charred leaving a bad taste and the meat that wasn’t cremated was over cooked and somehow tasted like it was soaked in water to defrost. Like in an episode of my kitchen nightmares, I assume Gordon Ramsay would accuse them of selling frozen steak. Meant to be mid rare. A steak this bad should be rare as in hard to find.
Great value, weekday discounts, members benefits. Highly recommend, best pub in the area!
