Had a short stay at the resort and was very happy with my experience. The location is incredible! Spa bath in the room was awesome. Room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable. Will definitely be back
Positive, Location Location Location. Negatives, Extremely Overpriced, dated rooms. We paid $428 for a Sunday evening which is absolutely ridiculous for a 3 star resort. I thought for the price we were paying the rooms would be semi ok. We were shocked on check in to see how dated the rooms are, some very good photography on the website. Not technically a 2 bedroom villa but one bedroom and another room with a mezzanine. The front door didnt lock but the screen door did. Swimming pool was out of order which should have been communicated to us on check in and judging by the other reviews the pool has been out of order most of 2024. Would not stay here again. Prices need to be adjusted to reflect age of facility
Our stay here was lovely. Has everything you need just a little run down. The beds were very uncomfortable and could feel the springs in our backs in both bedrooms we had to fold the bedding a few times to lay down on so we couldn’t feel the springs. but apart from that everything else was swell. Would also recommend better cooling in the rooms during those 40 degree days as the split system didn’t quite reach the bedrooms.
Bay Village resort, think twice folks. Self contained apartments requiring internal maintenance and in our Villa, needing deep cleaning. Whilst comfortable, the upkeep by the staff is underwhelming. On arrival to the room the dishwasher was full of unwashed dishes. Empty alcohol Cans left in several rooms from clearly previous vacationers. Towels not in the rooms. Iron not working and further 3 irons provided before the 4th iron was operational. Pool was not accessible and no indication as to why! Management also were advised day 2 of 4, the floors needed mopping as they were clearly dirty as noticed by blackened feet from only several hours of walking barefooted. Day 3, still not mopped or attempt to clean. Quite possibly we were unlucky on this occasion, but, regardless, we won’t be coming back to this location bay village resort. Travellers, holiday makers, you will note my reviews of staycations are generally positive, this by far is our worst experience.
The location of Bay Village Resort could not be better. We were delighted to find we were a very short walking distance from cafes, shops, bars, and the beach. We had an apartment which was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The check in and check out was quick and easy. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely relaxing stay here. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere central in the Dunsborough area :
