Story

Battle Hill Farm Forest Park is a Wellington Regional park near Paekakariki, New Zealand. It contains the site of the Battle of Battle Hill and is intersected by Transmission Gully.The park contains a working farm near the entrance at Paekakariki Hill Road and extends over the surrounding hills and into a plantation forest. It contains several loop walkways, some suitable for mountain biking and horse riding.

Was absolutely amazing swimming and camping and i must say we will be coming back with more family members we love the peace and quiet up battle hill it's a wonderful relaxing place if you wanna get away from the world this place is beautiful

Did the big one - Puketiro Summit Loop. A good step climb through through the forest help keep things cool. The were Gusts when I reached the summit track and this prevented me from riding it down to the sole bench at the lookout but the view was spectacular. I arrived at sunset (Park closes at 9pm during summer) and suffice to say it was awesome The trail up is steep, reminds me slot of Mt Climie even in a phone first if that makes sense to anyone. Will definitely be back as they have much more to offer.

Nice camping spot with a stream. Eels in the stream come right up to you. Flushing toilets and drinking water. Nice walks

Plenty of great walks and space for kids to roam, beautiful views, make sure to take some ham or chicken to feed the eels.

Great fun, kids loved it! Was their annual farm day. Lots to do and see.
