Well, wasn't THAT a filling experience! Grabbed a couple of $19.90 specials pack and still have enough for feed for later for munchies or tomorrow for lunch. Really friendly staff and the food was freshly prepared. Such a good place. Recommended.
Arriving to Port Pirie late afternoon, we didn't have any plan for dinner. Did a Google lookup and come across this The Church of Fish and Chips. Service & Ambient [4]. It's a Church and the tables are neatly arranged. Staff are very friendly and as we are in a big group, the staff help arranged two tables. Food [3.5] In general is ok. We had better seafood. Salad we chosen is Seafood Salad and that is good. Too many meals selection or order separately if do not go with the set meals.
Took my Daughter, Son In Law and Granddaughter for dinner here over the weekend while they were visiting from Adelaide. They both said it was the best fish and chips they ever had. And they could not stop raving how good the prawns were. We had the Classic Catch for 3, and they were very impressed with the more than generous serve and the presentation of the meal including the salad.
Nice food, had oysters, fish and burger. I presume it was the owner who served us, bloke was super friendly and polite. Very unique venue, and the branding is hilarious!
A must stop for fish & chips. Good quality fresh seafood, generous helping of sauce, and decently priced! Service was also great. Would highly recommend!!
Fish and chip church was fantastic! The lunch deal is insane. $9.90 for 3 prawns 3 calamari, fish, chips, salad and a drink! Really tasty food. Highly recommendedRecommended dishesCalamari
Great food, extensive menu something for everyone and great dine-in area always spotless. We eat here quite regularly and normally the service is top notch, but not today. Very rude man on the front counter today. Couldn't crack a smile or pleasant tone and seemed to forget that customers are a good thing. Anyway, definitely wouldn't hold this against the place as everyone else was as lovely as always, but I have to say, if I see him serving at the counter on my next time I may consider finding a different place to eat for that visit as I won't let him ruin another dining out experience for me like he did today.
A must if ever in Pt. Pirie worth every cent. Very reasonably priced, great service, huge portions, needed a doggy bag. Everything freshly cooked and absolutely delicious especially the scallops which were huge. Definitely will be coming here again. Thanks for the best seafood platter I have ever had. The church is also very historic and renovated beautifully.
Their $9.90 PACK between the hours of 11am - 2pm ONLY but check that is amazing value for money and has always been super fresh. You get a piece of fish, chips, 3 calamari, 3 prawns, tartare sauce, a small salad of your choice and a can of soft drink of your choice! Fantastic BATTER but you do have a choice of crumbed fish too. Love love love their egg salad! Also my hubby had the SCOTCH FILLET one night and it was cooked to perfection he likes well done and it was tender. HAPPY CUSTOMERS
