We are looking forward to sharing an everyday taste of Italy with Paddington locals. A little different to our next door restaurant, Cipri Italian, our new cafe - BARBETTA - is not a ‘napkin on your lap’ kind of place. Instead, you’ll be welcome to stop by whenever you like - for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Give us a ciao and you'll get a serve of some classic Italian which you can eat in or take away. It’s all fresh. It’s all homemade. It’s all inspired by the Cipri family’s love of food.

Knew about it for a bit and always wanted to try, took my mum for lunch here and luckily got a great table by the window. The service was really good with accommodating hosts. Got the Ragu which was the daily special and it was delicious really good portion size and reasonable price. Barbetta has a really good vibe and atmosphere and my experience couldn't have been better, am now looking to have my birthday dinner there, can't rate more highly.
A buzzy, busy breakfast a rainy Sunday morning with decent food but might not be the place if you want to hear the people on the other side of your table… Decent coffee but the cup size is on the small size. Service polite and professional but not particularly welcoming. Four dishes ordered and all four looked appetising so compliments to the chef
Great Italian style coffee and restaurant in the heart of Paddington. Well curated classic Australian breakfast favourite dishes with a distinctive European touch. The cake was mouth watering. If anything to improve, I'd say the noise, just adding some foam under the tables could make a difference, although that noise makes you feel like in Italy.
I was looking for a solid Italian meal and Barbetta was recommended. Wow! It felt like I had stepped from Sydney into Rome. The look, the feel, the people all gave out a genuine Italian style dining experience. I had the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and it was exceptional. Coffee was spot on and the staff were very professional. Barbetta is highly recommended.
Came here for breakky with my colleagues was.really hard to get a parking. Coffee was average it wasn't the best, service was ok. Atmosphere is great. And the food was amazing.Food: 5/5
Went for lunch with my girl friend on Saturday. Love the interior design of the place! But, it was too loud inside, we could barely hear each other. We ordered the calamarata Al gamberi and the insalata barbetta. The price was reasonable. Salad was fresh and tasty. However the pasta was pretty average.

Great spot for casual dining in Paddington. The also have a great selection of pasta and sauces that you can cook at home.
Best cafe in the eastern suburbs, hands down! Beautiful design and timber work with quality furniture and tableware. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff who anticipate what you need and move quickly - people waiting are seated quickly but there’s no rush. Interesting menu with plenty of authentic Italian elements - we had brunch, and look forward to trying the lunch and dinner menus. A pasta class was underway in the private room at the back - all enjoying themselves. Plus… some of the most stylish shoes in Sydney on customers and staff #bellafigura
Food is good however when my partner ordered the baked eggs, they forgot the bread that went with it. It took us almost 10 minutes to get their attention by which time the dish had slightly cooled down. The location is nice but when it is full, it's also super noisy and hard to hear the person next to you talking.
