Nice place for some beers, it also has a really good food. Service is good we were attended and served very quick.
Great service. We got the discount out the hell of the bill for 50% due to the unavailable desert. Yay..
It's a nice venue, good place the go and sit down for drinks earlier in the evening. But the music they play doesn't suit. They play club music, dance music, really loudly, so you're sitting on a couch with your friends trying to chat, but you have to yell. Needs to decide whether it wants to be a sit down bar or a club I'd prefer the former.
Amazing food and super friendly staff!! Haven’t had such a good service and fresh food in ages. This restaurant was recommended to us, and I’m so glad we came. We’ll definitely come back
The incredibly rude and pretentious staff impacted negatively on my visit. The would blatantly ignore us, and serve the couple sitting opposite. Complete lack of customer service. However, the abbiance was gorgeous and an open fireplace which just added to the whole experience- It was nice to sit on the couches and relax with a glass of wine in hand!
Worst service ever. Do not go for happy hour on a Friday, you order & pay for a cocktail & then lucky if you get it 25 mins later! My partner ordered a beer which he received straight away, while I was told they would bring my drink over. When we questioned why we hadn't received my cocktail, we were accused by the waitress of not talking nicely to her & told we could leave?! Who does that. I don't know any other place in Hobart that doesn't make your cocktail as soon as you order it! My partner had finished 2 beers while I was still waiting for my one drink. The point of going for a drink together is to have one together! I know cocktails take a little longer to make, but that is ridiculous! Would never go back. I feel bad for the poor guy making the cocktails, but the female staff are rude.
Food was good but service was terrible. There was only one other table seated when we arrived and I still had to go to the bar to order food and drinks. We then had to go up to ask to pay as no one came to clear our plates. Couldn't imagine how bad it would be if they were busy! Won't be going again.
Lovely waitress. Salt & pepper squid very nice. The reason for 2 stars: the tasting plate sounded delicious, I asked I if I could swap out the pork belly as I don’t eat pork, for anything, didn’t care what. Salad if they wanted. The answer was a flat NO. so vegetarian options suddenly became single objects. I chose the halloumi which was fine. But not what what I wanted & only ok. I’ve had better. Very disappointing attitude. Wouldn’t recommend.
This is a good place for a chill drink later on in the evenings. On Saturday night there's usually a local DJ playing a set of dank tunes. The atmosphere is nice and it's far more pleasant than many of the other Salamanca venues later in the evening as they turn into rowdy filth pits generally.
Just a review for drinks: They have a decent HH on weekdays can't remember the time, and on Friday from 5p -6p $5 beers and wines, 2 for 1 cocktails but the place definitely has a VIBE! Beautiful interior with beautiful people, lots of tables and heaters outside. The biggest problem was there were about 6 pretty bartenders behind the bar who literally didn't know how to make a cocktail. Why are you starting your bar staff during HH on a Friday? They should be well versed on how to make all thedrinks, or you know, train them before a busy period. They looked dumb not knowing what they were doing behind the bar. We ordered an espresso martini and another gin cocktail, our bartender literally had to tell us someone else had to make our cocktails... so we waited like 15 minutes. Ridiculous!! Anyways, probably a good place to start and then head off to the next joint.
