Before driving 30 minutes to my closest branch to deposit cash today, Saturday I checked online to make sure the branch would be open and saw that it would. I arrive to 10:30 am and noticed other customers waiting outside the locked door. The signage on the wall confirmed that the branch should be open but there was no sign in place to inform customers why the branch was closed. I have noticed that this banks customer service is really going downhill and Saturday is the only day I can get to the branch to make cash deposits. I have learnt that I cannot rely on this bank any more and will make plans to terminate all my accounts that I have held for at least 20 years.
We drove 45 mins to here because it opens on Saturday, but they close 30 mins earlier than opening hours with no reason. Annoying!

I visited the Bankwest branch today where I would normally have to wait for the teller however Brad was lovely enough to ask if he could help me with my enquiry while I was in line. After quickly explaining what I was after he directed me to the office and provided me with exceptional experience. He was wonderful to chat to and while being very professional, it was great to know he was a local too! Thanks again for your help today Brad! Next time I visit, I'll call you rad Brad!
I came to open 2 childrens accounts, i made a booking and enquired the week before what was needed. A letter was given for the school to sign for proof. Bradley served me whom also gave me the documents to sign 9days prior. Unfortunately the document that Bankwest has for the school to sign is not very well put together and clear-even to their own staff, as 1.5hrs later Bradley noticed letter was not dated. There was sign and phone number- Maybe place DATE underneath that so its stright to the point and clear about a date- so forms are badly designed to not have a state a place to date and secondly it was very poor on Bradleys side to not even notice this was needed himself until the very end 1.5hrs later of wasting our time and due to it not being dated even though he handed me the form a week prior so he knew it was freshly done, but no wouldnt even put a date on it while there as that would be wrong wouldnt it... So maybe he needs to UPSKILL on documents needed and expected in each document before proceeding. Big Fail in customer service, lost customers wont be back nor recommend. Unqualified staff that do not know their own documentation needs nor being able to see from sighting what is missing stright away till about to open an account... did i say it took him 1.5hrs to notice this even though he whole time under his nose in his hands?! I dont think he knew what he was doing the time it was all taking. When all you want to do is give a bank money and they make you jump through hoops- children under 16- medicare, birth cert, school ID and still not enough.
Can't speak more highly of my experience at Bankwest in The Glen this week. George and the other staff members were so helpful and were able to complete my complicated and time consuming request in super quick time. Very grateful for the fantastic service.

Had an expectational experience at the Bankwest Branch in Glen Waverly thanks to the Branch Manager George. I came in and needed an urgent transfer of quite a large sum of money and was surprised how professional and prompt the team was. George ended up taking over and he was a real pleasure to work with. The only disappointing thing was they weren't using Australian made sanitisers I'm guessing that's a Bankwest decision and I hope that changes very soon. Thanks again George!
Rudest staff on the face of the planet. I've been loyally with Bankwest for many years but after today's experience I'll close my accounts and go to ANZ who also have Android Pay. First no staff at counter, then I am talked to and looked at like an idiot for asking how to use the coin counter. As you would expect the coin counter broke which I was made to feel like it was my fault, no apology and 'instructed' to sit as it will take a while by some ubrubpt, overweight aisian guy no name tag so have to use a description. At the end of the auto counting I am missing about $35 or so short to my manual count but who am I to argue with their machine. Shame on you Bankwest!
pretty sure they weren't trained to serve customers.. they both rush to get things done n hope you to leave the branch immediately .. didn't even bother to ask if I have any questions to ask... in addition I was the only customer .... mayb she rushed to complete my tasks n have a nap later j/k
Very grateful for the assistance from George this week - he went above and beyond to assist and guide through some POA complications for our elderly mother.
