Location is good. Atmosphere is good. Just that we wanted more authentic Vietnamese food - noodle soup is too sweet, marinated beef is too salty and the sauce does not really have any taste other than sweetness. For those who like more authentic Asian food, I would suggest to go elsewhere. For those who are more into the vibe, it is a decent place to go.

Great service, great food, good value. We called in here for lunch, as soon as we entered the door we received great service. The food was nice, and was ample quantity. We had the fried chicken and chicken salad. My wife had a mojito which she said was great, and I had a Vietnamese beer. Will definitely be back, as I would like to see what they have on the dinner menu.

Changed completely. Someone took the name off a restaurant with flair and personality, handed it over to a designer, and created a hippy standard money-maker restaurant. Only the good food remained. I am very sad about this change! It is now a loud place with a bar, only after asking twice to turn down the music we could understand each other without yelling. They make you feel that you should spend your money quickly and leave because they need a high throughput. It is off my list of exciting restaurants with good food. Old 5-star review: Friendly quick staff. The food was fresh and yummy. The furniture is simple and the room nicely decorated. I love the Vietnamese coffee served here. Will definitely come back for a quick bite.

Checked out the new Banh mi Caphe site for dinner last night and was absolutely delighted. Have tried one of their dishes before at Gourmet in the Gardens from their foodtruck (which was fab!), but the restaurant is a whole different deal. The staff are friendly and attendant, the ambience is lively and upbeat without being stiflingly noisy, and while there are a whole range of dishes and prices on the menu, it's not prohibitively priced from end to end, making it a great option for just grabbing a bite to eat or making a nice occasion out of a visit here. I loved that approx 75% of all the menu items for dinner had vegetarian options, as well as some vegan in the mix, and by god they don't skimp on flavour here! My dishes were delicious to the last bite. Will absolutely be back.

We do not have many restaurants in Hamilton that have character. But Banh MI Caphe was a pleasant surprise. Straight from the get go, it is a happy trip to the restaurant. The crowd and background chaos makes it a very fun experience. If you are into dead silent places , DO NOT GO THERE. The food is good , nothing unique. Try the cocktails, and the pork sprig rolls. The place can set you back $80 for a meal for 2 (3 food items+ 2 alcoholic drinks) the bar area gives it a euro feel, the staff gives it a south american touch, the food is asian and it is NZ. For desserts: go to duck island (which behind the restaurant and next to browsers). The disappointment was the fry chicken: a little dry... The serving sizes are small and the wait staff are a little new to the game.. but non of these things were mega deal breakers
