One of my most favorite beaches in Sydney. I can spend the whole day staring at the beauty of this place. I don't really know why this beach is not listed among the best beaches in North Shore. Maybe it is underestimated. It is about 15 mins from our place in North Sydney. There is a grand walkway to have a stroll while sipping coffee, parks to sit down and have quick meals or to play cricket with kids. People usually come here to surf, sun bath, play volley ball, jog, walk, exercise and lots more. You would see lots of friendly faces who don't mind to have conversations. There is paid parking, free parking in nearby streets at least on weekends, toilets and eateries. Overall a great place to spend some quality time alone or with family and click beautiful photos of the picturesque.
A nice beach to enjoy with family and friends. In winters it is not crowded and one can relax. A nice path to walk along with a clean beach, you can enjoy a picnic with children, surf & kayaking. In Summers it is one of the favourites and you will have to roam for parking. It is very easy to reach using public transport which drops you in front of the beach.
Nice place for walk and relax on the beach. Nice cliffs and you can take nice photos around.
Such a beautiful beach! The walk out to the island was great for the kids! The safe swimming area is great and big enough that it doesn't feel crowded at all. Close to some great places to eat and good coffee.
3.5 stars Balmoral Beach: This much-loved harbour beach is super popular, so we left our visit until late afternoon so we’d have a chance of getting an overpriced parking spot $10 per hour. The strategy worked, and was made even better by a lovely Pasifikan family who gave us their parking ticket just as we were about to pay. They were part of the glorious diversity of contemporary Sydney that are drawn to this calm and sheltered spot, setting up barbecues and those ubiquitous cabanas for an entire day with family and friends. It’s a nice vibe, particularly for the northern side of the harbour, that helped transcend how busy it was and how much weed was in the water.
Very nice , clean , and white beach on lower north shore of NSW . It has cafés, public toilets and showers, wishing well as well . A family friendly beach . A bit hard to find car parking around this area. There are buses from Neutral Bay and Chatswood and Royal North Shore Hospital as well.
The pictures don’t do justice to this place. We were rather surprised by how pristine and warm this place is. Exquisite site that offers splendid views. There is abundant parking.
THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY WORTH CHECKING OUT!! Absolutely perfect The water was amazing Super friendly area Great for family picnics or just to walk around and relax. Kid friendly PETS ARE VERY WELCOMED HERE!
Balmoral Beach is a wonderful part of Sydney beach culture. It epitomise is the lifestyle. Every morning there are the locals walking their dogs, drinking coffee, and socialising. There’s also a large group of ocean swimmers like myself who enjoy the crystal clear water and easy parking before 8 am. The beach itself is unique in that it has two different areas to swimming divided by a rocky outcrop.
