We had an excellent experience here with a suspected broken foot for my 16 month old toddler. The dr and nurses were all highly competent and amazing with my little guy. We got seen by the Dr, sent to radiology at the base for an xray and returned to urgent care for the backslab cast and an icy pole as there was a break all within 1.5 - 2 hours. Highly recommend for circumstances similar to ours. Thankyou team!! You made our first experience with a broken bone very smooth and low stress.
Terrible….. I went in for 3rd degree burns, that was blistering, swollen and super painful. Upon arrival, reception staff felicity was lovely and helpful. I waited 2 hours to see the doctor, which was understandable as it was quite busy. When I finally saw the Doctor, I explained the situation and how much pain I was in. The doctor didn’t even bother to check my arms, chest and shoulders where the burns were. He said he can’t do anything for it and just put sunblock on over the top of it. I was in the room for 30 seconds before getting dismissed. I felt neglected and extremely disappointed. Won’t be returning back.
Nice staff and all no issues there. Very kind.nnSeems the service is not as good as it could be. You need more than 1 Dr on shift, he is juggling multiple patients back and forth it’s going to lead to burn out. Even consider hiring some Physiotherapists for the musculoskeletal patients - more than capable and trained to diagnose and refer for scans and treat as required. There has to be a better way…nNot going to consider the X-ray my son received as appropriately read and looked at due to how busy that Dr was. I will consider a CT scan if it’s not improved in a few days but will not return there as I feel this service as it is will lead to poor patient outcomes.nnYou can and should do better - patient care shouldn’t be shaped around a tight budget.
I had a disappointing experience during my visit. The nurse was dismissive and did not take the time to listen to my concerns. I was told to see my regular GP without any proper discussion of the issue I came in for. At the time, there were no other patients waiting, yet I still felt rushed and not attended to appropriately. I found the interaction unprofessional and lacking in basic patient care and empathy.
The wait wasn't bad, seats were comfy, staff were very helpful. They patched my knee up without any extra pain, and set me up for a good recovery
