Waited ages for very simple order and despite having a baby people around us getting served quicker. When our second meal arrive we asked for it to be take away with a bit of our rice. Despite not touching it the container was only 1/2 Full.
Visiting from Melbourne we were so excited to be taken to Balance Thai for a Celebration meal with dear friends.nThey had raved about the Soft Shell Crab dish and the Barramundi.nSeveral of the Party ordered the Crab, another the Pad Thai and I ordered the Barra as it was highly recommended.nWhen the meals arrived it was evident the Barra was overcooked, two small thin slices,sitting on a soupy sauce which looked very unappetising.nWe all agreed it wasn’t up to scratch so asked to see a waiter.nWe explained the situation and we were then sent another waiter, then another. Perhaps the Manager?nWe were met with an incredibly rude woman who insisted the meal was perfectly fine.nWhen we asked for it to be taken away she said she would bring out another one but we would have to still pay for it.nI asked if we could order it with the sauce on the side I had tasted it and it was disgusting she said NO we would have it exactly as it is on the menu.nThere was no way I was going to enjoy that meal so asked for another order of the Crab and a couple of plates so I could share the other meals while we waited. After asking several times she rudely agreed and said it would take a while to be cooked.nIt’s such a shame as the Crab was delicious but the Evening was definitely tainted by such terrible Customer Service.nHaving been a Chef for 15 years I knew the Customer is always right and you make amends.nWe were all very respectful but I cannot say that for the Management.nI add I have never left a bad review but had to leave this to warn others.nSo disappointing.
Can’t recommend this place enough… great atmosphere, lovely stuff and food is out of this world. My go to spot for Friday dinner
Bit into Raw chicken in Pad Thai, waitress provided replacement saying I won’t charge you. Turns out she meant won’t charge you for the replacement. I also have a suspicion the replacement was the original just cooked a bit more, although can't 100% sure.nnQuestioned Waitress, she had a pretty stinky attitude to the whole situation, no concern over raw poultry, no shame or remorse, just wanted my money. Manager eventually called. $20 off a $40 bill given.nnDraw your own conclusions on whether I’ll be going back, such a shame as been coming here for years & really enjoy the food. Expected much better. Fingers crossed I don’t come down with salmonella
A new find for us. Great food and location. We will be back. Very good experience all round.
