Baha combines great modern Mexican cuisine with incredible live and original music from some of the country's finest talents.

Story

An iconic venue on the peninsula, Baha is a standout amongst the often mundane restaurants and cafes that line our shores. Delivering beautiful, fresh mexican cuisine along with a healthy array of all original live music from the nations finest artists, Baha is your entire night rolled into one. Rock in for dinner with your friends and family, enjoy our laid back service and kick on to watch your favourite band in style.
Baha stage live music every Friday and Saturday (as well as the occasional midweek and Sunday show).
We also cater for those that are gluten free.
Try our tequila chilli challenge, ping pong in the beer garden or some street food from the Baha Street Kitchen (closed during winter months), The Taqueria and enjoy the atmosphere that is our truly unique establishment. Welcome to Baha!

Mexican cuisine in Rye- Mornington Peninsula. Average prices, helpful staff, fresh ingredients, plenty of free parking. Great views of the ocean from a couple of tables. Live music Thursday-Sunday 9.30pm onwards with a cover charge of $10. We tried the chicken wings which were a little bland and the chicken nachos - good portion size but few chicken pieces .
We arrived at 7.15pm and it was all booked, so we booked for 8pm, and luckily we did. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and generous servings. We had nachos and fish tacos, and they did not disappoint. We'll make sure to book and go back next trip to the Peninsula.

I love this funky little place. Mexican style food, the Southern Fried Chicken tacos very yummy. Interesting mix of musos playing on a regular basis.
Excellent food and a cool chilled out place near rye beach with a good vibe. We had really good food here, the wait staff was really helpful and friendly. The setting and ambience is very nice and i think some nights they have live bands. The menu is not that big but the food is abusively delicious. Service was fairly quick and they also make great Mocktails / punch. Overall very satisfying service and a great place to chill out after a swim at the beach.
Food was good, not up to the standard you will find in Melbourne. Large serving sizes. Cocktails where sub par, the jalepeno margarita tasted like a straight margarita. Service wasn't great. It was slow, seemed like the waiters didn't know the menu and I suspect one of them didn't know much English. It's also impossible to decipher staff from patrons as the staff didn't seem to have a uniform/dress code. Bar service was fast. Decor and theme was nice. They have a $10 cover charge from 8:30 onwards. Can't comment on the music/bands.
Came for dinner with kids and wife. Food was good, service was average at best. Waitress had better things to do, single bartender for 5+ customers waiting and music was a touch too loud for a dinner service. Perhaps a great place for drinks and a catch-up, but not for dinner with an expectation for great table service.
Had read mixed reviews but decided to give it try to decide for myself. There was a band on the Saturday night I went, their website cover charge started at 8:30pm. Arrived at 8pm and was told they were starting door charge from then, reluctantly agreed, paid the $10 and was seated at a a table. Ordered the vegan cauliflower tacos, off menu vegan burrito, and 2 cocktails. Atmosphere was nice, food took about an hour to arrive to the table. In the meantime I noticed other tables questioning staff about their food wait times too. We were told the band was due to start at about 9:30pm. Vegan cauliflower tacos were a little plain, but generally tasted good. Upon cutting in to the burrito we noticed it was filled with meat. Wait staff were very apologetic and replaced it immediately with a vegan version and gave us 2 free cocktails. The food was satisfactory once we got what we ordered. The music started late, the band was pretty good but we left after and hour due to some unruly patrons.
My burrito was excellent. The staff were courteous and welcoming. Although they did stuff up the order of someone from our table! Still, would definitely recommend if you are craving some Mexican and happen to be passing through Rye.
