Worst customer service I have ever come across. They discriminate against you if you don't have a credit card and refuse to hire to you if you have the money on you debit card. They choose to hire cars out based on their personal choses instead of going by company policy. The manager there wouldn't even try to sort the situation out and help a customer saying "this is my business and I'm choosing not to hiring to you. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Fist post was deleted let's see if this one does as well.
I didn't rent the truck, was helping others move. Truck never missed a beat, drove will & all very happy with the move. Gladstone to Aire Qld.
Broke down in Gladstone. Went to Avis at Gladstone Airport to hire a car to get back to the Gold Coast. When picking up the vehicle from the depot my card had insufficient funds so I went outside to transfer money into my account. Was approached by the manager outside who then refused to then loan me the vehicle as it was a risk to them. Even when I said to him there is now money in the account. Maybe because of my appearance... not sure the reasoning behind it. So Un-Australian! Not help-full or understanding at all. I will never hire from Avis again and will tell everyone about this incident. If I was in this company I would rip him a new one!
Worst experience every dealing with Avis Gladstone. To date still fighting for over charges to be refunded after 2 months. Staff are Threatening and Unprofessional. Not Recommended just go to someone else save yourself the hassle.
Friendly, efficient, went above and beyond for me as I arrived early and my car had not yet arrived back. I was quite happy to wait but they upgraded me and sent me off very happy! The only salient negative was their location, it's not central city rather out closer to the airport. About a $15 taxi ride from the city one way.
Time wasted, lied too and rude staff. Waited an hour for my pantek moving truck because remote did not work and they tried to find another or fix it. I was sent off without a functioning remote, but a small discount on my excess KMs was agreed on and dispite my excessive wasted time i was happy enough with the compromise. Upon returning the truck I was very rudely told that there would not be the agreed discount as the remote is a "free extra service".
Quick and easy to get a truck hired out on short notice. I won't be moving again anytime soon, but I'll definitely suggest it to others!!!
