Team members were great at customer service. However landing late from Sydney and waiting outside a small yard office in the cold for over 30 minutes was a little novel… all the terminal counters direct you to the yard office for service.
Worst car rental place in Australia! Waited in line for 30+ minutes then after filling in paperwork got told it was a 40 minute wait for the car. Ended up being over an hour! Travelling with 2 young kids this was far from ideal! Staff were professional while I vented my frustration at the poor management and system. Everyone was in the same boat as us though. We booked the car 4 months before our holiday. I am done with Avis!!
The first time, I didn't receive an upgrade as a President's Club member at Avis, even though there were still cars available. The interaction was brief, with little explanation. The friendliness left something to be desired.
Thank you very much for Avis' car rental service. My family and I just arrived in Perth for a trip, and since it was our first time renting a car, I was a bit worried. However, the staff at Avis were very friendly, professional, and attentive. They explained everything in detail, which made us feel very comfortable, and the price was reasonable. If any of our friends need car rental services, we will definitely recommend this company to them
Terrible service. Couldn't tell me what the total cost was going to be. Then had 3 different amounts come out of my bank none of the amounts matched the paperwork or what they were initially saying the cost would be. Received a voicemail msg the day after taking the car saying it has a cracked windscreen which it didn't, then to be told it was a mistake. They clearly have no idea what is going on. With all the commotion that was going on and no one being able to explain to me why 3 lots of payments have been taken from my account when I was told only the bond was coming out? What are the other 2 for then? And why doesn't the paperwork match the amounts and why dont they know when they are the ones who have taken the payments? My handbag was left in the car and it took them over a week to notify me which by the time they told me the cash inside was missing and they finally returned to me. Hidden fees that I had no idea about, they were on the paperwork after taking the car. When booking the car online the price was alot different to what was charged. The whole process was a joke and the women in the office was rude and had no idea hence why she couldn't explain what had happened because she didn't even know herself what she had done. Will be making sure everyone is well aware NOT to hire cars from Avis. NO birds were cheaper by alot and also much easier to deal with an such a simple experience. Would recommend no birds over avis 100%. Not to mention the $150 worth of Qantas points I lost due to their stuff around. Only had the car less than a day. Worst experience I have had with any place I've been.
