I can’t fault the staff and service at this store. Not only do they manage to have all the gear that other stores have sold out of, their helpfulness is also extraordinary. I damage my bike a lot... A LOT. 90% of the time I drop it in with no warning, they crack a joke, I laugh, they say they're busy and the turnaround will likely be longer than a week and I say I'm not in a rush... then I get a phone call a couple days later saying its ready for pick up! Absolute legends. Also, may I add- without breaking the bank!
Amazing service from Ryan today. Super helpful on the phone, sent through some options for me that weren't on the website, and presented me with a few options when I popped around for a lockdown test drive. We jazzed up a beautiful bike to make it even more pretty - now I can't wait to go out and get her muddy! Looking forward to adventures that I'm going to have :
Thanks guys get all my service work done here have even stopped in no appointment and they booked my bike in. No problems at all. Always explained what was needed what was done and what was due to be done. They trued my wheel with only 2 day turn around when other places needed 3 weeks. Also when I needed parts during level 3 they were out of stock so lent me some second hard parts until new stuff was available. I 100% won’t be going anywhere else for my mountain bike service and parts ever again cheers team
Excellent service, they help you make well informed decisions and most importantly the staff trust you and allow you to ride the bikes around the store and outside ,if you request them. They aren't also pushing expensive bikes your way...definitely a must visit
Best customer oriented bike shop in Auckland in my modest opinion. Also, I'm very pleased with staff attitude and amount of efforts being put when it comes to servicing and getting things done. Big kudos to everyone and special thanks to Matthew for his dedication!
Complete waste of my time. Booked in my bike for a service more than a week ago. They said they could do it same day as long as I dropped it off first thing. So I did, when I dropped it they said yes could be done. 4 hours later they phoned and said they couldnt service it that day and were also closed over the weekend. so I had to go back and get it and now it is too late to book in with someone else. If you were over booked you shouldnt have said you could service the bike or at least let me know when I dropped it off. Have wasted over an hour of driving as well as my time. Won’t be coming back here again! Thanks for your response Jeff but they told me that they had over booked and considering I booked more than a week ago there should either be a better booking system or I should have been prioritised. Perhaps have a look at your systems and the staffing and improve this for future customers. Ive never had an issue getting my bike serviced in the past so lesson learnt I will go back to another business instead.
Always a pleasure dealing with Jeff and the team at Westgate. Have had all of my bikes maintained and repaired by them for approx 10 years now. My first port of call for any bike product, part, knowledge or advice. It’s a rare thing to have a store so willing to give their time and go beyond normal service to keep their customers happy, and their bikes running. Easily the only decent bike store out West.
The sign of a really good shop is their after-sales service especially in situations when things don't go as expected. My Ride Westgate sold me the wrong product on Saturday, after a quick phone-call to them to check on this, they agreed the best way to fix was to bring the bike back and they would sort it - which they did, quickly and positively. Riding again today. Thanks, Dave.
Possibly the best retail service experience in my life big call I know I wanted to get my bike fitted to me correctly and look at some clip on cleats....thats all I thought it would be 30 mins and out the door. I approached the counter and was immediately attended to by Ryan who did an excellent job of attending to me, the fitout was awesome almost 2 hours Ryan set up various things on the bike and noticed a few things wrong like the incorrect chain guide which he fitted a new one and gave the bike a clean and lube in various parts, torque tight checked the bike and went WAY over expectations and he even sorted the Spaghetti cables in the front with a shortening and a binding up of the cables. I went out to woodhill for a ride immediately after this and the bike was well - a new experience, Im very very happy! The entire experience was brilliant - and the other staff were friendly and everyone was happy, great to see and be part of!
