Convenient location, comfortable but basic. We chose Avani for a 3 night stay and we're close to Pacific Fair, restaurants and a few blocks from the beach. The pool was a nice size with plenty of deck chairs. We stayed in 907, a 1 Bedroom Suite.nnConstruction noise from nearby buildings unfortunately woke us up every morning at 06.30am and cars were speeding past all night down the highway we were on level 9 facing the highway.nnAmenities in the apartments were fairly sparse, we had very few items i.e. 3 glasses, 3 mugs, 4 plates, 4 of each cutlery. Would like more dishwashing liquid supplied on check-in as 1 sachet is not enough but waste of money to buy more for a short stay.nnChecked in late 10.30pm and received a phone call around 6.30pm to ask when we would be checking-in, this should have been asked sooner. Late check-in agent did not give us information about pool towels or amenities, we found out when we asked a few days later. There are signs all over the place asking for $40 to stay late but we asked a very helpful front desk agent who advised if we signed up for membership we would get 12pm late checkout. Front desk held our bags as well.nnOverall, good value, just a few areas to improve.
My fiancé and I stayed here for a couple of nights and really enjoyed the short stay! The place was very clean and the staff were lovely. The spa was really nice and hot & the pool was very clean. It’s close to Pacific Fair & the Star and an easy walk to the beach, would certainly come back here again.
Located in Broadbeach this accommodation is easy to get to and central to loads of restaurants, convention centre, Pacific fair shopping centre, tram and bus services. The unit we had was clean, well furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was not the highest quality but was still comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Parking costs extra at this venue which we were not aware of when we used booking.com but the cost was not exorbitant.
Nice place for a family stay.nnWe had a 2 bedroom unit facing the beach.nnA bit noisy.nnAll linens/towels/etc are kept in the open garage area on B2 which is unsanitary.
I will never stay at this hotel again. I arrived late at night after arriving at Coolangata Airport. I did not have photo id on me so I phoned my partner as I live interstate to send me a photo of my drivers licence and passport. My hotel room was booked and paid for by my employer. The staff member on duty refused to allow me to stay at the hotel as he was not satisfied that I was the person I said I was even though I had a credit card with my name on it, my employer had booked it in my name which he sighted the details and I had a clear photo of my passport and drivers licence with my name on it. He had no problems turfing me out onto the street at midnight. I told him I am a 59 yo woman with nowhere to go and no idea where I was. He clearly had no concern for my safety. It was humiliating and very stressful and totally unwarranted as clearly I was the person who was booked into this hotel. I am disgusted in the way I was treated and am still extremely upset that this hotel thinks its OK to leave a human being with nowhere to stay when they had already been paid for the room by my employer. I contacted them on 3 occasions since, no apology, no care, somebody was supposed to get back to me but 2 weeks later still hasnt.
