Located in Broadbeach this accommodation is easy to get to and central to loads of restaurants, convention centre, Pacific fair shopping centre, tram and bus services. The unit we had was clean, well furnished with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was not the highest quality but was still comfortable enough for an overnight stay. Parking costs extra at this venue which we were not aware of when we used booking.com but the cost was not exorbitant.
I will never stay at this hotel again. I arrived late at night after arriving at Coolangata Airport. I did not have photo id on me so I phoned my partner as I live interstate to send me a photo of my drivers licence and passport. My hotel room was booked and paid for by my employer. The staff member on duty refused to allow me to stay at the hotel as he was not satisfied that I was the person I said I was even though I had a credit card with my name on it, my employer had booked it in my name which he sighted the details and I had a clear photo of my passport and drivers licence with my name on it. He had no problems turfing me out onto the street at midnight. I told him I am a 59 yo woman with nowhere to go and no idea where I was. He clearly had no concern for my safety. It was humiliating and very stressful and totally unwarranted as clearly I was the person who was booked into this hotel. I am disgusted in the way I was treated and am still extremely upset that this hotel thinks its OK to leave a human being with nowhere to stay when they had already been paid for the room by my employer. I contacted them on 3 occasions since, no apology, no care, somebody was supposed to get back to me but 2 weeks later still hasnt.
First room i was given had a bad smell and the aircon wasn’t working properly. The second room i was given had an old and dirty washing machine that made everything i washed dirty, and I wasn’t able to get a similar room that had everything I wanted. Lifts were smelly. Couches were dirty and smelly. Room service stops working at night and dont come back untill late morning. Overall unhappy with this hotel compared to other hotels ive been with. View was nice, but there is nice views everywhere. As for the hotel itself, Probably wont come back.
Good location for conference or casino. Unfortunately they began the pool deck maintenance program just as we checked in. Room and service were good with a pub and restaurant downstairs if you want.
Really beautiful hotel with spacious rooms with great in room facilities. Paid Parking onsite and within walking distance to Pacific fair and the beach. 24hr check in and simple process to check in and out.
