I have been taking my cars to these guys for around 8 years now, they are thorough,  very informative and haven't carried out any unnecessary work. In short, they are reliable and trustworthy which I have struggled to find in other mechanics.  I still use these guys whilst living on the other side of Auckland, worth the travel.

Used these guys for a number of years as they are handy and I liked the set price setup. Also found them to be friendly. But I would not recommend them. Had a number of issues with quality & consistency. Had a couple basic services and the oil change was fine. Recommended to a friend who just purchased a car took it to them and told them it was a recent private sale purchase and to give it a good check for service & WOF. The car came back and was given the all clear. However when the next WOF was done at a testing station number of issues were picked up that were obviously always there, some were serious safety issues you want service and WOF checks to pick up!
Its pretty obvious that all they did was do an oil and filter change, and gave it a WOF pass without even checking it.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt that time, explained it to them they apologized. Had my next service done and was told I had radiator issues and that I should look to get it replaced. But I left it thinking I would get it done next time when I could afford it. But next time I took it in they said my radiator was fine, go figure. I'm pretty sure it didn't fix itself. After my last service as soon as I drove my car I noticed it had developed a squeak when applying the clutch and my brakes made the car wobble, I have no idea what they did to cause these issues but there was no way I was going to take my car back here.
