BEST PIES IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE!!!! Was driving past on the way back to Melbourne - feeling hungry, and had an idea I'd like a pie for lunch. Saw a small sign - saying "Homemade Pies". I went in - and this place seems like it's mostly a Post Office - with a little business selling some food... I got a Beef pie from the lovely lady at the counter... and Holy Hell.... It was sooooo obvious it was homemade (from the oval shape, and latticework pastry... but them I started eating it.. Huge chunks of beef - delicious gravy, and incredibly filling. Magnificent....

The best homemade pies in Australia. I travelled to Bairnsdale to look after my brother Roger in 2012. He also lived in Nicholson caravan park. The owner of the general store at the time Chantelle, made the pies. Not a snack but a meal.. Well done Chantelle.
