I cant say enough of how awesome our Post Office staff are! ever helpful, warm smiles all round, and extremely patient with me when ever I bring the work mail in and they have to correct my paperwork ha!
Rather than complaining on Facebook about Aus Post Bairnsdale being temporarily closed on a Saturday because they are short staffed, apply to work there yourself. The staff have been working through record volumes of mail/parcels all through Christmas, and Covid lockdowns.
I had a really good experience at the Bairnsdale Post Office. People were super friendly and the service was the best I’ve experienced in Australia Post.
Some customer services being difficult to certify paperwork and not willing to help, even thought you provided enough documents, photo id and digital copy. On the requirements said it optional, but they demand not require document to be sight, i gave them the digital copy, but they said, nah, need hard copy. So incompetent to do the job!
Australia Post has lost the plot. Its worse service now than a third world country. In our area we only get 2-3 mail deliveries a week. Some staff in Bairnsdale office don't know what they are doing. Could not handle a simple return of a defective product. I tried to make a booking for a passport renewal but could not get through on their 131318 number. Just hopeless!!!
Poor service. We arrived at 5 min to closing time and they wouldn't let us in just to buy stamps. No other customers in the shop either. At least the rest of this country town is friendly.
I have always found the staff at Bairnsdale very easy to deal with. They are courteous, professional and helpful and I was sorry to hear other customers found their interaction with ths PO less than satisfactory.
You have to wait outside in the cold in a line to collect your parcels, there is barely any shelter from the rain and the longest time I had to wait in those conditions was 12 minutes. When I went inside to complain about the conditions the lady rolled her eyes and told me to go back outside to wait and press the button again.
Awesome service, got my package 4 days early.
Helpful and efficient staff so no long wait times! It also has a self service kiosk.
