Consistently poor customer service. I have been hung up on, given attitude at the counter by different staff on multiple occasions. What's finally made me put this review through after years of disappointment is that they don't even stay open during their alloted hours. Meant to be open til midday on a Saturday, but they were shut by at least 11.20. Working 9-5 on weekdays means Saturday is the only time I can pick up a package on my own time. If I had the option to automatically redirect all of my deliveries to Smithfield LPO I would.

12+ years visting this post office and never a problem, staff are awesome.

Delivery drivers NEVER ATTEMPT Delivery and often do not leave a card. Postie never comes to door with parcel but sits at side gate insisting on beeping horn at us to come out, despite being told where front door is. Very ignorant. Or he just throws over fence into gardens to be ruined by dog or weather.

I opened a po box a few weeks ago online and qhen I went in the lady was so helpful and polite. I went in again recently with my son to redirect mail and my son has autism and people don't often understand and get upset. The lady at the counter was so lovely and understanding with him and also patient. She was efficient and helpful. Glad I chose to get the po box here

Really rude at this post office. The Asian woman shouted at me and I had to tell her to STOP! She said ‘listen lady’ I’m just doing my job. I had just moved and dept transport has not sent my change of address sticker. She wouldn’t accept any of my I D . The package was to be returned to UK if not picked up in 5 days. My sticker would not arrive for another week. It was clear I had the parcel notice delivered to me but no I’d with photo. Not even rental agreement or passport was acceptable. It was very sad as this was a 50th birthday present. We had to watch it be returned. Asholes is all I can say.

Very disappointed. Not only a poor service I've been left with no consideration at the counter while two staff were looking at the same computer also I've been charged $3.60 for literally 5 faded copies $2 to log in my email with their laptop Go to the library in Smithfield if you need a printer, they charge 20cents each page and not log in fees apply.

Rude female staff member on shift on 13th April in the afternoon, who did not say please or thank you, and did not even tell me how much my postage was, but just nodded at the eftpos machine and said ‘go for it’. She did get excited when she spotted her mate outside the shop, and waved at him. I felt unvalued and unimportant. Is it because I don’t have an Australian accent and was sending post overseas that you were so rude? Please train your staff to show some respect for people using your service. I will go to another Aus Post shop in future, even though this one is the closest to where I live. Poor show.

I have been going to this post office for more than 10 years as I live at trinity beach, I have seen staff change over the years but I can’t say anything less than perfect about the staff friendliness and helpfulness. They are always very sweet and patient. I’m surprised at some of this comments below. Nonetheless this post office has my seal of approval based on more than a decade experience transacting with this post office.

Appaulingly run, the American Guy that serves is arrogant and just way to impressed with himself. I asked why the postage prices for set priced parcels had increased? I was provided with a blunt reply, because they have !!! No customer service skills at all.

The female is super helpful & friendly. On the other hand, the male is particularly unhelpful & not got a grasp on customer service. I hope it’s his business, that’ll explain why he’s like that? Shame, it’s my local & I try as much to do most things locally.
