AUT certainly has an impressive city campus with a latest addition of robots to educate and research with. Very impressed by the students. Light flood huge atrium connecting buildings and area to have lunch with microwaves, sink and seating. Plus cafe that has salads and hot food as well as sandwiches, as in town there’s no supermarket to dash to between lectures.nWent for an invent and that was extremely well organised in a very good large lecture room with excellent acoustic.

I began my nursing studies at AUT in 2018. At the time, I was in my first year, second semester. During one of my clinical placements, I had a clinical educator whose behaviour towards me was consistently rude and unprofessional. She frequently criticised and insulted me in front of other students.nnOn one occasion, she yelled at me during an OSCE assessment in front of everyone, which was extremely embarrassing and distressing. Instead of providing guidance when I was unsure about certain skills or knowledge, she would criticise me rather than teach or support my learning.nnOn several occasions, she strongly suggested that I should drop out of the nursing programme. She said, “I don’t think you will be a nurse. Why don’t you try something else, like applied science?” Hearing these words caused me to doubt my abilities and significantly affected my confidence.nnAs a result of her behaviour, my mental health was negatively impacted, and I felt traumatised by the ongoing cold and discouraging treatment. I felt helpless at the time and did not feel supported.nnUltimately, I decided to leave AUT. Looking back, this was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.
You have literally just cancelled my daughter’s application two weeks out from her start date after already telling her she was accepted into her program. And completely washed your hands of it. Didn’t even have the balls to put a contact info to get in touch with someone regarding it on the letter. What a gutless bunch of numpties. How are you all so incompetent and poor at planning you have decided to cut places into the course less than two weeks out from her start date with no help securing another option. She got her acceptance letter last year so how do we find something so short notice?
