"Auckland Botanic Gardens is a spectacular South Pacific botanic garden located in Auckland, New Zealand. The garden covers 64 hectares 156 acres of land, including 10 hectares of native forest.Stroll through our unique garden collections and seasonal displays, bring a picnic to relax on the lawns or grab a bite to eat at the cafe in our visitor centre.Auckland Botanic Gardens is approximately 20 minutes drive from downtown Auckland and Auckland International Airport.--HOURS:The gardens are open daily 8am-8pm during summer, and 8am - 6pm during winter.The visitor centre is open daily 8am - 4.30pm except Christmas Day 25 December."

Absolutely breath taking! It is much bigger than I anticipated. If you have a very young one, I suggest bringing a stroller with. However there is a fabulous 15 to 20 minute train ride to enjoy!
This place is different each time I visit. Always overwhelms you with beautiful flowers and greenery along with various exhibits and statues on display. A great day out and a nice cafe to visit with a friend. You get a great workout when walking around the gardens.
Beautiful gardens, so much to see. Lovely walk with the dog down to the off leash area and wonderful track through native bush at the bottom. Highlight was the Feast Your Eyes watercolour exhibition by the artist in residence, Jennifer Duval-Smith.
We loved the edible garden and rose gardens the best. Daughter loved the cafes French toast! A nice big walk if you do it all. Great to let the kids burn off some energy and run around. The dinosaurs were a pleasant surprise.
Amazing place for all age groups. Heaven for photography. Got a lot to learn.
