Great coffee and breakfast. The coffee had a strong flavour and was fairly smooth, but was slightly bitter for my taste. The breakfast was presented beautifully and tasted fresh with good flavours. Service was great as staff were friendly and quick. Ambience was good with comfortable seating and good spacing between tables.
Liked everything about Ashton & Old. Coffee, service & food was great. My order was the sweet potato & feta hash which came perfectly presented with avocado, eggs, smoked salmon, spinach & cherry tomatoes. The other dish we had was the pork belly fried rice. Generous servings of tender pork belly in a tasty soy plum sauce & scrambled eggs. Vegetarian options: Some great vegetarian dishes recommend the dish I ordered...sweet potato & feta hash Parking: Parking at back of cafe
Great coffee. Delicious food. Beautiful presentation. Clean. Comfortable. Nice staff. Friendly environment. What else can you ask for! 5 stars all the way! Sorry I smashed into your glass door
Overall it was quite a good place. On the positive the waiters were very friendly and the service was prompted. The food was good but the only problem was that I didn't receive the specific extra crispy or take away cup I asked for. Parking: There was a lot behind the shop for parking and a few street parking available in front of the Caffe.
This place is a great choice for brekky or lunch with friends, or on your own. It has a friendly welcoming vibe, great coffee Veneziano from West End, good food variety with vegetarian options, and good service. There is plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. I tried the sweet potato and feta hash with poached eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, spinach, and beetroot hummus, which was perfectly cooked, fresh, and well presented. My friends both had the potato gnocchi with roasted pumpkin, sundried tomato, pine nuts and spinach and they said it was delicious. You can get smoothies and fresh juices here too. The staff were lovely and very efficient. You won't be disappointed if you try this place.
We went to Ashton and Old for a late brekkie. Service was polite. The food was served incredibly fast and absloute delight to eat. Even though I dont live locally I will definitely be going back. Parking: Carpark is located behind the Ashton & old and is access by a side road.
First time here and unfortunately a terrible experience Coming from a Brazilian, it's a crime to call your açaí bowl açaí at all, wasn't açaí, some sort of blueberry smush bowl see pics more liquidy than the smoothie my wife ordered. Frozen strawberries, maybe if it was blended with frozen strawberries the consistency would've been a bit better. Terrible acai and it shouldn't be called açaí. Service was ok the girls were lovely but having to go 3 times to the table because of the system of ordering is quite too much Drop water, then come back to ask then come back again with the tablet so the order can be taken, too many steps Anyway, hard to give another try after one bad experience with so many azing cafes around :
Lovely prompt and attentive service. I had a breakfast dish on the Saturday of the Easter weekend. Delicious. Coffee was great. I sat outside - will come here again. Sorry - I forgot to take photos - you’ll just have to believe me when I say it was terrific; next time Recommended dishesAvocado
Had high hopes from all the positive reviews but left with a disappointing breakfast experience. Ordered a chocolate milkshake but received a vanilla instead, no big deal. I informed a member of staff who were all very friendly and attentive about the mix up and they went off to sort it. Sadly when they returned a while later, they had just thrown chocolate flavouring and sugar on top, hadn't even bothered to mix it in. I mixed it but because it already had the original vanilla flavouring and sugar plus the extra thrown on top it was far too sweet and pretty vile. Coffee was good but the pork belly fried rice was bland and tasteless. My friend had the sweet potato & feta hash cake which was much better.
Thank you so much to the team at Ashton and Old for making our Mum’s birthday brunch so special. We were a big table a big ask at this time of year and the coffees, food and service were superb. You are our local lucky us! and now the whole fam is planning a return visit.
