Lots of things to do with kids. Great big playground with a nice little free paddling pool for kids on a hot day, has an aviary with different types of birds to visit. Beautiful rose garden and lots of natural well thought out landscape. We will definitely be having our wedding ceremony here

Very peaceful work a river running straight through. Various workout stations for those wanting a little more out of their exercise. Lots of gardens and sculptures to find.

Great garden walks. Park has a flying fox at northern end. Hugh sports grounds. Lovely mature trees. Really enjoyed our afternoon here while passing time. Would recommend a visit if you are passing through Ashburton. There are a few different entrances, also a stream running through parts of it. People who love nature, walking, jogging or short bike rides would thoroughly enjoy an afternoon here. Also great place for picnics.

Love it here quiet and beautifully well kept grounds. Awesome place to feed the ducks at the massive pond. a lot of sports, open and private areas. Kids open paddling pool included. Huge Flying fox as well as a big playground for kids to have fun on. There is a mini bike,scooter and skateboard track, aswell as a basketball court, soccer fields and cricket pitches. Close by is a hockey turf and very professional tennis courts on the opposite side of the grounds, from the playground. Very convenient as the main entrance is off the main road and two function rooms on the grounds. Very close to the Ashburton Hospital

This is a wonderful spot. Well presented gardens, lawns and flower beds. Open spaces for sport and the chuck of a ball or frisbee, plenty of magnificent old trees - stunning. Adventure type playground. BBQ. There are also an exercise type track. Bird avairies was under development at the time of my visit - sadly missed this trip. However there is another aviary around the front.Looking forward to see what it is like. There is a lawn bowls area. Seating by park benches. A few sculptures. Toilets on site. Different areas have different plantings. There is a wonderful waterway system with a working water wheel. Some heritage type gates. Coffee carts and fruit carts in the parking lot on State Highway 1. This domain needs a tea house somewhere on site. Great spot for a picnic, feed the ducks or to escape the heat of a hot summer. This really is a gem.
