I've never had a single issue with ASB's service, which has always been flawless and professional. Today, my cousin and I went to the ASB Takanini branch to open a new account for my cousin and to seek personal finance advice. The staff member, Yvonne sorry for mentioning your name, was extremely helpful and professional in her service. She just made our day by providing us with a lot of satisfaction and happiness. She went through over the details with us, step by step, in an attempt to make us understand the value and significance of our request. Everything was done perfectly and in a very convenient manner. Very rude. Quality of customer assistance and service is very poor and low. You can feel it in the air how they belittle and undermine you as a customer. I dont recommend banking at this branch. Not worth it. This causes me to drive further than i have to for decent service like for an example to Mangere Bridge branch. I used to live in Mangere Central but I live in Takanini. Id give them 0.5 star if i could. Very poor.
Went in to deposit some money note this is my first time , no other customers were there. 3staff just chatting away in their language hindu, while waiting there for 20 mins they all split as I approach the reception desk. And finally another 20 mins as they come out to answer my question only 1 just to be clear. to be answered in such a rude way rolling their eyes and smirking at me as if I was dumb for asking a simple question . By far the worst branch in South Auckland.
Went into for business banking. Staff standing around chatting among themselves. Ignored me standing there for atleast 5 mins. Poor customer acknowledgement. Didn't even bother to smile and wave. I have had better service from a cardboard box. 3rd ASB bank with the same experience. It's like they are doing you favour by coming to work.
Good thing is availability. I can deposit money anytime.
Went in today to deposit $68 into my friends account for a trip next week at ZQN. Lady asks if I have a card with them. I say no, try to explain a deposit for a trip next week ,in Friends account . She says no it is Law, doesn’t explain what law. She says it’s due to money Laundering. I walk out completely bewildered and disgusted.
Every time I have been here, the staff are always friendly and very helpful

Friendly but machines always broken. 3 times out of 3 visits. This creates very show service.
Very hard to get hold of anyone here, never answer the phone...
