My daughter 3.5 year old, who's started attending atrz collective a year ago, loves this school. I honestly love seeing her so happy and engaged in everything her wonderful dance instructor is teaching her. She has become more confident since attending these dance classes and even when she had a make up class where she attended a class with kids a little older than her, the teacher was so engaging and my daughter after at first not wanting to join ended doing all class and loved it so much. I cannot thank and recommend this school enough for all they are doing and providing for my little one.
My child has been with Artz for nearly three years. Miss Ziggy, Ms Joanne, Miss Alannah and the team are amazing. Over the past years, I saw my child strive especially for resilience, self-esteem, confidence, and many other mental qualities. I think it's easy for someone to teach the technics but hard to find teachers who care about the kids’ overall well-being. Luckily, we experience both with Artz. Miss Ziggy and the team are amazing! I feel sorry for people who had a negative experience with Artz and left reviews here. But that weren’t the Artz teachers or staff I had known in the past three years. Therefore, I am writing this so people can hear different voices. There are good reasons why my child LOVE Artz and feels a sense of belonging. Because of Artz, I had to give up our plan to move to another suburb. I think it's also about open communication and be reasonable. If you think the billings were wrong, contact the staff and communicate. They will fix issues if that's their mistake or they can clarify for you. Be a grown up and communicate. All humans make mistakes, they may and you may. Without asking, you never know what exactly was going on. If your child is having a mental breakdown, take care of your own child. How can you expect dance teachers to emotional coaching your own child? They are dance teachers, not your babysitters. Let along ask whether your child builds rapport and trust with the teachers yet? Why didn’t the mum cuddle their child and help them, instead expecting the teachers to help the child? Who the child trust most? My child has been there for years, if they were having an emotional breakdown, would I leave them to the teachers? NO! I will be the first person to help my child regulate their emotions. Will I let my child go back to the class when they are still emotional? NO! Consider other kids, consider the teacher. It’s a dance class for multiple kids.
Our daughter adores all the teachers at Artz Collective and often tells us she wishes she could to to dance classes everyday. The studio has a lovely family feel, and everyone who enters the door is greeted warmly. The end of year performance is something our family looks forward to each year, and has provided us with memories that will last a lifetime. We cannot recommend Artz Collective enough, Miss Ziggy, Miss Joanne and Miss Allanah are the absolute best in the business.
Dear Victor Lim, I’m very sorry to hear your story. I’m an experienced therapist working with kids with special needs, and I know how challenging it is as a parent of a 4 years old. Unfortunately, people often forget that parents need supprts as well. I can see that Michiko was pretty upset, and you’re quite angry and trying to protect your wife and son. I have been working with over hundreds of kids and families. I’m capable to de-escalate the mental breakdown in kids with special needs. But, only if I build a trustful relationship with the child, for instance working with them every day intensively for at least two weeks. So, unfortunately, in your situation, I believe nobody in Atrz is capable to manage it. They are dance teachers, and they don’t have extensive trainings in psychology as I do. Also, if parents were not able to help their child during the mental breakdown, I don’t think other people are capable to. Parents are the people the child know best, not same random therapists or dance teachers. Here are some resources that may help you both to go through this challenging situation. 1-NDIS coordinators, case mangers, see what support services you can get. 2-ABA therapist behaviour therapist, find the organisations that offer parent support/education programs. As parents do need to have more understanding in their children’s conditions then can better help their children . 3-Talk to psychologists who are familiar in this field. They have deeper understanding of the special needs and can help parents to mange their life better. So parents can better help their children. 4-Parentline Vioctoria There are many more supports available out there. Hope you all have support through this stage. Wish you all the best!! I do understand what you and your family are experiencing. Unfortunately, I have to report your review as Bullying or Harassment as I feel you were verbally abusing Miss Ziggy and Artz Team. Kind regards, Yuling She/Her
Highly recommend Artz if anyone is interested in dance, singing, drama etc. My child loves Miss Ziggy, Miss Joanna, Miss Alannah and the team. I’m glad that my child is flourishing in Artz.
Excellent school for adults getting back into dancing- caters for all levels! I have joined in with the Adults Tap and am loving Ziggys classes. Great “me” time in a really warm and friendly group. Can’t wait to be able to add some more classes down the track, as they have plenty of options which can be rare to find for adult dancers.
Be very careful with this school. As a method of payment you need to provide your credit card details. My daughter was there for 4 months and she could not continue going because they put her in week day classes impossible for her to do it. The only solution they gave me was doing the same class again not really worth it, I must say. For that reason, she would not continue next year. After saying that we were leaving the school next year, they charged us January, so I checked our bank account and I saw that they had charged us 7 months instead of 4: she took a free trial class the last Saturday of July, so she started in August. In December they did not have a single class so, for August, September, October and November we paid 7 payments. I did not want to argue about what happened during the course because of the package they offerd and so on, I was just trying to get January back because it did not have any sense, she was just not going to the school. And not because of the money itself, because that disgusting feeling of someone laughing at you... After some emails between us, they just sent me the statement of what I had paid, no more effort in trying to understand what was happening and verifying those 7 payments, at the end, the money never got to my account... I tried several times to explain them the mistake, but their answer was silence... This is the most disorganized place I have ever known but, obviously, in their favor!, but fortunately there are a lot more dance schools and we are not in this one any more.
As an adult with no prior dance experience I was a bit worried about starting out- but I shouldn't have been! Right from the initial contact, Ms Ziggy and her team were warm and welcoming. Ms Ziggy is a fabulous, encouraging teacher- and I really look forward to class every week! Thank you Artz Collective!
My child has been a student of Artz Collective for almost 2 years, she enjoys her time at the school. The children get to experience various forms of dance, with qualified teachers who bring the best out of them. I would recommend Artz Collective as a great place to learn and have fun.
Miss Ziggy and all the dance teachers are amazing! They are so encouraging and helpful. The adult classes are excellent and are enjoyable to attend. I'm increasing my dance skills and doing so in a fun environment.
