Under the guidance of the remarkable teacher, Lu, and alongside her supportive classmates, she's not only honed her artistic skills but also discovered a new perspective on creativity. The thoughtfully curated groups seem to foster a sense of camaraderie, allowing each child to flourish. The serene surroundings create a tranquil atmosphere that washes away the stresses of after-school chaos. We often find solace in those moments before class, soaking in the calming ambiance. Lu's passion for art, paired with her impressive teaching abilities, shines through in the joy she brings to the children's creations. Her knowledge has not only elevated my daughter's artistic prowess but also had a profound impact on her overall well-being, confidence, and love for art. I'm immensely grateful for the positive influence Art Class Melbourne has had on my daughter's life. It's more than just an art class; it's a nurturing space where creativity flourishes and young minds blossom.
I have been one of Lu's students for four years and would recommend her classes without hesitation. Lu's classes cater for all levels of experience and style. As an beginner, Lu guides you through a set of technical exercises with accompanying notes and instruction, but also encourages you to develop your own style and instinct through practice and patience. Classes are run at students' own pace, with each student working on their own project over the course of the term. Lu has a wide-ranging knowledge of art techniques, materials and styles. She gets to know her students and their strengths, and helps them to develop their confidence and artistic intuition. Lu's classes are informal and welcoming, in a spacious and well-equipped studio, set in peaceful surroundings. Having not picked up a pencil or paintbrush since my school days, l have, with Lu's help, been able to develop my skills enough to feel confident in submitting my work to local art shows, and have even won a couple of prizes! Thank you Lu!
Lu has a great way of teaching, working through different techniques each week. She allows the children to draw what they want, while teaching and improving their skills, or suggests ideas for those who aren't so sure. I have noticed she is very observant to each child's interests and caters to them. The studio is a lovely place, large windows, comfy seats and very calm.
A brilliant place to learn and Lu is a extremely gifted artist and teacher. Great for all ages. Students from 8 years to whatever age you want to try something different. Learn all styles from Sketching to Oil painting and everything in between, all skill levels are in the classes so even a complete novice like me felt comfortable. Teaching can be structured or at your own pace which just suited me as I wanted to try everything. Would recommend highly.
Lu is the real deal. Hugely knowledgeable across a wide range of mediums including a variety of digital programs. If you have a goal artistically Lu really tries to find a way to get you there. Her back ground story is fascinating and gives her enormous credibility.
Fantastic Art Classes & Photography Lessons at this Art School situated in Melbourne's leafy green Eastern Suburb of Mooroolbark. Perfect location on a large garden estate for drawing, painting and photography. Not only is it in a beautiful "French Provincial" style Art Studio but l love the fact that it is so friendly! It's a terrific group of fun loving arty people!
