Arnguli Grill
"A gem of Australia’s rugged heart, Arnguli, the local Aboriginal word for bush plum, is a fitting name for a restaurant that celebrates its stunning surroundings.Quality Australian produce is enlivened by local Indigenous flavours using native spices, grains, and seeds. In the shadows of the hotel’s quintessential ghost gums and overlooking the central pool and garden, this beautiful a la carte restaurant offers an extensive menu and signature grill selection, and a quality variety of Australian wines.Enjoy premium dining in a romantic, intimate setting."

A truly great experience. I was dreading the dining options coming to such a remote area of Australia but the experience at this diner was to a high quality. The food was flavourful and every dish was delicious. The hotel said you have to book in advance to dine here, but we got to the restaurant without a booking and there were no issues. There were also some stock issues which made drink orders difficult but nonetheless we had a great night.
The resort's best restaurant without a doubt. When a customer has a birthday, the waiters sing birthday songs for them. The surroundings and view are excellent. The meal is excellent. The drinks are fantastic. Both the steak and the kangaroo meat were excellent. Come here without a doubt, and make wonderful memories here.Food: 5/5
Visited in Dec 2022 Arnguli is definitely the best restaurant of the resort, and due to that fact, it is a bit expensive. However, you’ve to accept that given there are so few places to eat anyway. I went with the set menu of 1 entree, 1 main course and 1 dessert. There were options to choose for each category and I chose the Confit Duck Leg for entree, Charcoal Jerk Chicken for mains, and Vanilla Panna Cotta for dessert. There was also an appetiser provided before the entree which was special preparation. All the food items were pretty good and the portion sizes were also adequate. I didn’t get any drinks but the place has a good wine list too. Service was decent. Definite recommendation for people staying at the resort.
We had a great evening here. Food and service were excellent & we really enjoyed to eat some of the native ingredients. Definitely worth the visit! Thanks for a very enjoyable evening!
We stopped here for dessert after the Field of Light experience. The staff were unsure if we could dine just for dessert which was a bit frustrating. Surely that's not an issue? We got the one gluten free dessert item on the menu, the chocolate Rosella. It was really lovely and we were happy to share it. The menu outside the restaurant clearly marks what is gluten free most of it is which is great given it's one of the more high end venues at Yulara. Vegetarian options: Not many as it is focused on grilled meats. Kid-friendliness: More of a quiet intimate venue suited for adults and couples. Having said that we did see families dining there. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes. The tables aren't crowded together so access should be easily accommodated. Dietary restrictions: A lot of items are labelled gluten free and should be safe for coeliacs.
By far the best hotel dining experience at Yalara. We didn’t book in, however the staff were quick to accomodate us and welcome us to their fabulous restaurant. The best food diversity in terms of menu, and the flavours were unreal. Our wait staff were so friendly and gave us all his recommendations frime the menu which we chose and they did not miss the mark!
Gee wizz the staff were amazing. Beautiful food cooked with care and attention. Enjoyed the use of native ingredients - would love to see more : Expensive meals and drinks, but totally reasonable given location /availability of ingredients and the standard of service. Would visit againFood: 5/5
The restaurant is located at the Desert Garden Hotel, and right next to it is Mangata BISTRO & BAR. You will see this restaurant and bar are one. The atmosphere is calm, nice, comfortable, and the food is delicious. much better than I expected Plus, Very Friendly Lovely Syaff Kid-friendliness: Kids Friendly! Kids eat for free when you eat there - Applicable for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner!! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair and Mobility Aid Accessible!
Very friendly staff members and excellent service. We had the big native meat platter which was delicious and had plenty of food.Food: 5/5
Our experience began well enough. We were greeted and taken to our table by a professional but friendly staff member. Menus provided and left to decide. No advice or explanations given regarding the menu. Eventually the water arrived - and our order was taken. The food was delicious, cooked superbly.....but the service for a restaurant of this calibre was ordinary to say the least. It was as if we were invisible - which is off putting when you can see and hear other tables being 'fussed' over. They were not fully booked or very busy on the night....that I could understand. Service - or lack there of -spoiled the experience.
