My Mum went into Arcare Birtinya for respite with a view to permanent placing. I was concerned that the place looked so beautiful but the care would not be there. How wrong was I? All the staff were fabulous…. So caring and in and out of Mums room all the time. She was always dressed and showered every day I went in. The food was amazing as they have a chef to do the cooking and residents are asked to help design the menu. It is a place where I feel I would want to go when and if I am placed in that situation. Mum is happy there so I am happy.
All staff at Arcare Birtinya are really lovely. The nurses send me emails or call to keep me up to date with Mum, the carers always wear a smile, they recognise who I am when I visit even before I get to Mum. Amazing how they remember who we belong to. Mum really likes it there, she receives great care. I love how Christy keeps the same staff looking after the same residents which allows them to get to know each other really well. Mum enjoys all the activities and the company of the other residents. It's one big happy family in Arcare Birtinya and I can't thank them all enough. :
We urgently needed to find a care home for my mum after the one we chose fell through. After a phone call to Arcare Perigian, we were directed to Arcare Birtinya. 48 hrs later, Mum had approval and moved in 6 days later. Christy was brilliant, the staff made Mum feel very welcome, the residents were welcoming and friendly, and the facility is gorgeous! Mum is really happy to be at Birtinya and our family is relieved she is now living in a safe place with access to all the facilities and support she requires.
Arcare Birtinya has been the most fabulous experience from the moment we made the phone call to apply for both my parents through to the day they arrived. Mum and dad have never been happier they are thriving under this care and all the staff go over and above enough to make sure they enjoy each and every day. The meals are now the highlight of their day. as a family we can now relax knowing they are loved and looked after in their new home. We also love to visit often and have a coffee with them in the cafe, dad's favourite is the good old fashioned milkshake.
My family would like to thank Christy and the entire team at Arcare Birtinya for assisting our parents to transition into aged care.nn10 days after Dad entered Arcare Birtinya, our Mum got to join Dad.nThe two have been together for 70 years, and achieved so much in their lives.nnThis next stage is something they are now exited about, yes excited, Mum could not wait to enter Arcare Birtinya.nnAfter meeting Christy, and viewing Birtinya, Mum couldn’t wait.nHer move was delayed after a short hospital stay , but once there her joy was overwhelming. The staff have made my parents so welcome , at home , and nothing is a problem for the entire staff.nnNursing, catering, maintenance & cleaning, you name it its 5 starsnnThank you Christy, after caring for them for 10 years, I feel exceptionally comfortable they have a beautiful new home
