I made a booking for a genius to help me transfer and set up my new iPhone that was brand new sealed in the box. I arrived checked in and shown to a genius I told him what I want to do and purchase a screen protector and case .. He flatly refused to help me ... he asked where did your purchase the phone from? And told me unless I purchase from apple store they won’t help me ‍ Wow that’s a brilliant selfish company policy If I purchased a new Toyota from Sydney city Toyota I can service that car no problems at any Toyota branch Australia wide . Terrible customer service Apple 0/0
Went to Apple on George Street and they were super rushed and juggling multiple customers at once… went here instead and Vincent was so helpful diagnosing what was wrong with my laptop that only a simple update and restore was needed and I didn’t have to get a whole new battery! Genius technicians are super informed and willing to help, have always had a great experience at this store compared to George Street
Usual Apple store antics. Sometimes you get an engaged and knowledgeable staff member and other times you don't. We got lucky this time. Always clean and presentable and no complaints from me.
Surprised to see some bad reviews here as I had a very nice experience with this store. After waiting just a few minutes a staff member provided excellent service in helping me decide which version of airpods to purchase. Much better service than the CBD location. I wish I could remember the staff members name as they deserve mention for the efficient and friendly service provided.
Went in to buy two new iPads and knew the exact spec I needed. Was told I needed an appointment, so made one. Sat around waiting for 20 minutes for the appointment time, then a further 10 minute wait from the check in. Staff did not make eye contact until I sat down on a table, at which point someone came over to tell me I couldn’t. I took the opportunity to ask what happened to my appointment only to be told I’d ‘only been waiting 5 minutes’. So I went and bought the iPads from the hi fi store downstairs , where they seem to have a better understanding of how to sell products.
Pretty disappointed. I came into the shop just to buy a new phone outright, no fuss, and I even checked online to see if I needed an appointment to do it, which it said no. When I got to the store they said they couldn’t process a sale without an appointment because they were busy. I understand if it’s busy, but since when is it so difficult to scan and accept a payment? Isn’t that the point of a shop? I walked out without a phone and will probably seek Apple services elsewhere.
Not only is Gabrielle ignorant on Australian law but she is completely obtuse when it comes to solving problems. I was in JB downstairs when I mentioned the story below. Apparently the glebe apples store has become well known for being rude and dense, telling customers to go away. I know you'll be reading this and I want you to know how utterly disgusting you are when it comes to customer service. I get it. Customers come in with broken hardware but to throw it our face metorphically speaking even when I was trying to find a solution shows me how you shouldn't be in a position of responsibility much less talking to customers. I pity your staff having to deal with someone like you. Old Apple used to be fair and reasonable. I'm not talking about getting free repairs which they have in the past given. I've paid for many as well, but its always been just and equitable basis, and usually the goodwill provided was paid back 2-3 fold with additional purchases. Yet in the situation today, considering I had outlined my intention about purchasing a second unit, considering that the broken one was a few months out of warranty that doesn't waive my statutory rights and you refused to come to the table says volumes. This Apple store is run by someone who doesn't give a hell. Instead of reducing waste, instead of earning sales, ongoing sales and a positive NPS she was prepared to just throw it all because she can't be wrong...... And before anyone wants to claim otherwise I was calm, composed with inoffensive language. Having purchased Apple equipment for over 30 years, having an extensive account it utterly confuses me that they would rather piss me off in order to save $75 Having worked extensively across retail, wholesale, enterprise and government I have never ever, even when the customer was wrong, done what I was exposed to. Treat people how you want to be treated and yet Gabrielle seems happy to throw away 30 years of business and custom. Talk about about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Store sells the freshest Granny Apples in town. You've got to try their freshly baked apple pies with thick pastry crust and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. Give the Apple guy an extra $fiver, and he'd add in a sneaky splash of Irish cream liqueur! It was an absolute indulgent experience, can't wait for my next visit.
Worst service and worst people. Apple is now have nothing to do with customer service just a bunch of money making …….. Brought my 5 month old iPhone 13 Pro Max they refused warranty based on some bull excuse. They even did not know what they were explaining. I asked them can you tell me exactly why you are refusing and they didn’t have an answer just that your device is not qualified for warranty repair. Had to go to a store Smart Electronix, they fixed my motherboard issue. Not going again to any Apple Store.
Had a booking for a battery replacement and waited over 30 minutes past said time. Never happened so left the store. Any business looking to hire young people with part time experience at Apple Broadway, avoid said hire as they have worked in an amateur environment.
