Went in the bank branch yesterday helping a new Immigrant open an account. The person ‘assisting’ us was quite arrogant, did not allow for this person whose English was their second language to absorb the questions their English is very good but NZ’s speak fast apparently. Did not explain things adequately, I could not work out what he was asking, I was born and bred in NZ. All this why slurping on a coffee! Not impressed at all. What made this experience worse was I recommended this bank to this person as I’ve been using ANZ for years, personal and business banking. The bank employee needs a lot more training in customer service AND if staff are allowed to slurp on coffee in front of customers then at least offer the customers one as well! Terrible experience
Terrible costumer service. Not accomodating and told us that the paper form that I have to submit should be coloured w/c is not acceptable. Useless bank teller
Worst bank on the planet. Never so motivated to give a 1 star comment. Ten days to open an account the same process only take 10 minutes for another bank to auto-process. Five days to make an appointment and the only way to do that is by phone which they almost never answer. Offer to help u to make appointment but ignore u when u ask. No confirm message after u finally made an appointment. And when u call them, they said can't find the booking record. Promised multiple times to send me confirm message but never did, not even within 24 hours before appointment. I almost end up having two accounts imagine the chaos when this happens. Because the second phone customer service forgot to correct the mistake I made in the first call, even if it is him who found this mistake. Turns out it only takes 20 minutes to open an account at branch. So, please stop recommending your super-slow online application. The customer service in the branch is rudest ever seen in NZ. The lady with short brown hair, without asking what am I here for, impatiently pointed me to the line which is clearly for customer that does not make an appointment. When I explained it, she is even more impatient. The aged lady sitting in the middle talks to me like an interogator. Printers and multiple facilities are broken. Very poor online banking and app. My standard android cell phone has over 10 bank app. ANZ app is the first one that is “inconsistent” with it. The unique good and professional people I met here is Vicky Wang, who activates my account.
I always avoid the bank cause past experience its always a long wait and tired/irritated bankers, however, that wasn’t the case! Zahli definitely deserves a promotion, she was so lovely, efficient and worked well with every customer I saw her with. Thank you for the wonderful service Zahli!
Good bank, slow overall background process.
We got our appointment time wrong however Nirane and her colleague super helpful still assisted us. Despite the branch being busy, both ladies resolved our query. They epitomize client service! Very grateful for an excellent customer experience
A handy, busy, ANZ branch close to the busy intersection of Lambton Quay, Willis and Willeston Streets.
Poor service from employees
Best staff. Best yarns. Best bank.
