Such a shame the branch don't have tellers anymore. I went to get $5 notes and they no longer have money and unable to assist.
I went in to this branch as I have having trouble with my new card, Dylan fixed everything that I was having trouble with in no time at all, his customer service was impeccable, he also reached out via email with some tips for future travel advice which was greatly appreciated and whilst not expected, he proceeded to go above and beyond. I can highly recommend him,
Although the staff was helpful after a half hour wait ; standing in a queue of 3 people before me. I did locate 1 single chair at far corner that my disabled husband can sit down whilst I wait in the queue. There was only 1 staff on duty at the time which was 11:30 am. 2 others suddenly appear after 12:00 but quickly disappeared behind the desks at the back of the branch. I surely was astonished at the lack of staff at the branch. I did comment to the staff when it was finally my turn. She just smile awkwardly.
Around midday on Thursday 22-Jul-21 - it was ABSOLUTE CHAOS at the ANZ Toowong Branch. Customers were yelling and arguing in loud voices, fights almost broke out out about queue jumping. The little security guard hid in the corner, a junior clerk behind the counter was trying to control the situation but was not being respected. An even more junior clerk who spoke bad English tried to control the queue but was being utterly hopeless. Two desk clerks stayed behind their desks talking to their customers - avoiding getting involved. The commotion continued until customers walked out obviously very upset at the mess inside the badly run branch. - I have been banking with ANZ since 1998 - but I have never witnessed such chaos and lack of professionalism inside an ANZ branch. They are normally well run. Toowong has set the lowest professional standards ever for a branch. I run numerous accounts with many significant transactions all the time at ANZ. After witnessing this and other examples of ANZ decline I am seriously considering changing banks.
I am a long term loyal customer of ANZ They have been easy to deal with throughout - until today! I went today for an appointment to open a joint account with my 2 siblings I was told by the woman there that this was impossible without all 3 being present I advised one sibling was living in Victoria She agreed that documents could be sent to the local ANZ branches for my siblings to complete. When I couldn’t tell her the name of my siblings local ANZ branch in Victoria I was told nothing more could be done for me, I couldn’t even fill in my part of the documents! I left immediately angry,and went directly to the Commonwealth Bank in the same complex where I was welcomed and accomodated without any problems Stupid ANZ! Stupid robot woman!
Professional staff. Efficient and helpful. I appreciate their knowledge at Toowong. I recall I took the lead in having a full compliment of female staff. Lovely to see front of branch is still working. Marvellous banking experience. Well done to the team.
My mom opened a bank account and saved 100$, a Taiwanese girl asked her to separate $50 in active account and another $50 in the saver which you cannot withdrawal. After that, my mom saved $100 in ATM and $20 deposit from someone but never checked the balance. My mom withdrawal $60 but the screen shows only $110 left. However, $50 just disappeared as she doesn’t have a receipt or evidence for proofing she had saved $100 in the first when she opening the bank account. So disappointed to this bank.
It's conveniently located but I've had some bizarre advice from these guys, like "we can't transfer your rental bond from ANZ to NAB ??. What about if you withdraw the thousands of dollars and carry it to the NAB branch." Most of the time they're fine for simple tasks though.
I strongly recommend you DO NOT visit ANZ Toowong, pick another branch. My experience with the Branch Manager Joelle has been dismal, cost me 1000's. You have been warned.
the service here was fantastic. I needed to prove my identity to set up internet banking. the staff member helped me all the way to checking I could log into the app on my phone.
