Really enjoyed the atmosphere and attentive staff. The lamb was delicious and delicately complemented. The mashed potatoes were indeed velvet and packed with flavour. Food is very rich and packed with flavour, a little too rich for my partner. Hope to return.
Have been to Antoine's many times both at the current location and the previous location. While the quality of food remains high, service tonight can only be described as ok.
Delicious food! Everything was great. Had oysters, scallops, then the tomahawk steak for 2 with mash and 3 sauces and a salad. Dessert was yummy too. Presentation also on point.
My top 3 favourite French restaurants in Sydney! I eat here often with my girlfriends, ever since we discovered it years ago when it was located in the busy part of Concord. The staff are fantastic and so lovely, and the food is always on point. I've taken family here as well who have enjoyed the atmosphere, food and wine options!
My husband and I took a another couple and their toddler to Provence on Saturday night. It was a great night. The food was excellent, the quality was great! The service was friendly and despite being very busy, the waitstaff were very attentive. The wine list was extensive and the espresso martini's they offered us were a hit. The toddler's food came out before ours and they offered her some crayons and paper and were welcoming. We were all happy and would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Went there on a Saturday night, was quite busy and full. It took roughly 45 minutes for anyone to get to our table to take our order despite us flagging for their attention multiple times. In saying that, when the food came out, it was for the most part decent. The only exception being one of the orders was a median rare steak that came out blue. Quite a significant error, especially when paying close to forty dollars. The other food was quite good. Slow, inattentive and rushed service ruined the experience as a whole but may be promising on a less busy night.
Just googled Antoine's grill to get phone number to book a table on upcoming date.I'm amazed to see some of the reviews! Went there a few months ago, and this place would have to be in my top 3 French restaurants I have been to in this country. I ordered the foie gras entree and it was out of this world flavor-wise plus the wow factor on presentation. And my desert, the so French 'cafe gourmand' was unbeatable. Service was lovely. I have nothing but positive feedback for this place and cannot wait to go back!
Describe your experience - not good. Pretentious and overpriced, I don't think they'll be in business for long. The menu does not truly reflect the top 10 dishes of Provence. If as an esteemed reviewer noted that ribs are cooked for 16 hours @ 75 degrees, then you are getting reheats. And that's exactly how my meal tasted. BYO is not permitted Fri & Sat. For the price of a meal for 2 here you can eat elsewhere for 4 and you'll probably be more satisfied. In good conscience, I can't recommend this place.
Antoine's Grill has achieved something pretty rare in the Canada Bay area - a restaurant that prides itself on quality food and wine. Finally! I've lived in this area for over 10 years and I am surprised how few options there are to eat out. There are dozens of cafes or cafes masquerading as restaurants but not a single venue that matches the standard set by Antoine's Grill. From their delicious steaks, accompanied by even better sides, to their beautiful desserts the theatre of how they serve the Bomb Alaska is excellent!, I've not been disappointed. It is easily one of the better French restaurants in Sydney. The best part is that it's only around the corner from home. The prices are comparable to any restaurant of similar calibre elsewhere in Sydney. If there is one thing that does let it down, it is service. They do seem to be a little understaffed at times, meaning your waiter or waitress tends to disappear for long periods of time especially when they are busy. Having said that, when you do get some service, the staff have always been friendly and professional. Overall, good work. As someone with a hospitality background, it's a delight to have a restaurant that is 'pushing the bar' in this area of Sydney. To the people who complain about no BYO or alleged pretentiousness, the only thing that can be said is those reviewers have no idea what they are talking about, nor should prospective diners take any notice of them. If you're after a cheap night out and a half-bottle of BYO wine that's been open for two days in your fridge at home, go to the local unlicensed Thai restaurants because you've clearly come to the wrong place! Antoine's Grill is a hidden gem and they deserve credit.
They recently moved and when I looked up on Google it said the old address and had to call them to confirm where it was. When we got there, the menu was different from their menu online both the food and the price point. Very poor value considering the price and service was abysmal. We were overcharged so be careful if he tries to charge you extra. Go here at your own risk, but I wouldn't recommend it. Pathetic service, overpriced and unprofessional staff who lack friendliness. Would give them a zero but one was the lowest. You can be sure I will never be back and I will discourage others from dining there. Woeful 0/10
