With the Anstey train station directly bounding the west, the new park on West Street two blocks to the south and Sydney Road to the east, Nightingale Anstey is ideally positioned to support a life lived in social, environmental and financial sustainability.nnA visit is highly recommended, particularly with the guided tours run by the 'Open House' organisation.
Perfectly fine train station on the Upfield line. Design is similar to many others. The station does suffer from the same issue that Jewel has with a bike path right outside one of the entrances. This station unlike Jewel at least has somewhere to view approaching bikes. The problem is though is that the bike path is woefully small with barely enough for a bike on each side let alone pedestrians as well.
A decent station overall, has most things you need on a station and it's kept relatively clean.
Here's a pro tip or local knowledge depending on what you wanna term it, but for those passing through on the bike track or just happen to be nearby but not at someone's place late at night i.e. those without homes as an example, on the citybound side otherwise known as Platform 1, as you enter the station where the Myki machine is, before crossing onto the actual platform if you look up & just to the right of the entry archway there's a power outlet that works for charging your device OR electric bike/scooter if you've depleted your batteries & can't make it home ... Your welcome!!!
