Very Happy I don't know much about Vet's fee's, other than they're none of them are cheap but .....My neighbour's beautiful little puppy broke her tiny little leg so, we went to ARH because they were the closest vet open @ 5pm on a Saturday & I'm certainly glad we did, because they were very helpful & understanding. They fixed little Daisy really good. It was the best as they possibly could considering neighbours budget but still I don't believe that they could've done much more than they did. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
We received great service when our puppy ate something he shouldn’t have. He was seen quickly and sent home with us shortly after. Thank you team for your efficient service after hours!
Would not recommend ARH! 6 months ago our 5 month old puppy was referred to them for breathing difficulties after a nasty case of kennel cough and they turned her away saying she was fine even though our local vet had done X-rays and discovered her lungs were abnormal and had been for 2 months despite many rounds of antibiotics and steroids. This short appointment also cost $250 to be told ‘everything was fine but go back to local vet for more X-rays to confirm this’. Surprise, our vet did more X-rays and as predicted, her lungs were still abnormal and she is still coughing daily. Many months of back and forth, The ARH vet finally reviewed her X-rays months later and agreed our pup did in fact need surgery. When booking for her surgery, the receptionist was very blunt and tried to start a new referral again. She had no record of any of our pups previous attendance or vet to vet discussions. After explaining in length our situation her reply was ‘I’ll talk to the vet and call you back’. 4 weeks later and still nothing. We’ve now opened up a referral with a new vet specialist at another location and they booked her in for the surgery she needed 6 months ago, for next week. ARH are happy to take our money but have not had our puppies best interest at heart. I would recommend getting referrals to other specialists before ARH.
Kind, compassionate and amazing care for our little one. We were worried about our puppy, so we brought him in late on a Saturday night. The team were beyond amazing - they took complete care of him and gave us some great follow on advice. While I hope that our puppy doesn’t need another visit, it is so comforting to know that the team at the animal referral hospital are there for us whenever we need! Highly recommend!
The staff here are absolutely excellent. We had to take our cat here for an emergency a few weeks ago. All of the staff, including receptionists, nurses and vets, were absolutely lovely. They were kind, empathetic and professional to us and all of the other families I saw there throughout. Everything was explained very well to us and we were able to arrange to visit our cat during her stay. Cannot thank them enough.
Had a scary experience with our cocker spaniel, suddenly not able to coordinate her legs and body? Straight to Majura very late on the evening. On arrival explained symptoms and was triaged straight away. Initially thought some form of poison or bite from baby snake? nothing apparent, quickly fully assessed by vet and determined a cause and diagnosed, treated and medicated and out in 30 minutes. Entirety positive experience for our dog and us. We are very fortunate we were able to take a beloved pet to a vet in night. Not always possible. Thanks for the long hours put in by staff. Our dog is now recovering and back to her usual boisterous self,
I would not recommend Animal Referral Hospital Canberra. I have a very sick puppy, vomiting day and night, hasn’t eaten for 3 days and overall lethargic and was hoping to have vet look over her and see what was causing it all. As you could imagine I am quite distraught seeing my puppy this way. I called at 4:45pm and was told to call back at 6pm to book her in for an emergency appointment. I waited out and called at 6pm to be rudely told “if she isn’t dying we can’t see her”. I didn’t even get the chance to explain her symptoms before I was told to call someone else and hung up on. I am not satisfied with any of the service I received or the way I was spoken to and would not recommend this Hospital to anyone.
Had a very disappointing experience here. As other reviews have said, the attitude of the reception staff is just terrible. Not customer focused at all , just plain rude and superior . was given false information. Made to wait nearly an hour. And charged $290 for just a 5 minute basic consultation they are obviously just geared to make a lot of money. Would not recommend at all
Such a professional and friendly service. Without the over the top price tag. I would go there as my normal vet if they provided that service.
