Welcome to the Animal Medical Centre in Launceston. At the AMC we aim to provide the highest standard of care to your
pets.

Our Opening Hours are 7 days a week, with a 24 hours emergency service and on site car parking.

All staff are so very welcoming and caring. My cat is very nervous, but seems to manage being handled by the vets here easily. She had an adverse reaction to a vaccination recently, and when I rang to ask about her symptoms it was immediately identified and she was treated appropriately and quickly without fuss. Pepper was completely back to normal by the time we got home again! Very grateful and impressed.
We received urgent medical attention within 15 minutes of calling the practice. They had a room ready for us to bring King. We were informed regularly about tests, costs and prognosis. Unfortunately our Kingy didn't make it and cremation was organised. We received a lovely card in the mail from the practice too remembering King. Thank you so much!
Above and beyond! Our dog Buddy is a lot of work and full of energy. These guys were amazing with the care of him and us today. Honestly best vets in Launceston!
My dog Ella has been going to see Dr R ob since she was a pup. That's 5 year's ago. But l did have 2 other dog Maggie and Molly who have been going there for the past 8 years plus. But unfortunately they passed away this year. I highly recommend Charles street vet the receptionist to vet nurses to the vets you can't go wrong. They care for your pet just as much as you do. By far the best veterinary clinic I’ve been to. When my family moved to Launceston 10 years ago with my Great Dane, I needed a clinic I could trust to be on call in case of an emergency. Not that I needed it in the end as he broke my heart and left this world in the middle of the day, but the team at the Animal Medical Centre made that process as gentle, respectful and beautiful as it could be. It’s been 6 years and we now have other dogs in our lives that all go to the Animal Medical Centre. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you to the whole team.
Professional, easy to get timely appointments, staff are genuinely caring and friendly with my pets. Very sensitive and patient with my anxious dog. They are very sensible but also mindful of costs for owners and families. Will definitely keep taking my pets here.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Thank you to Dr Rob, the Vets, Vet Nurses & staff at the Animal Medical Centre. I'm not sure if our precious & beautiful border collie, Oscar would still be here if it wasn't for your prompt medical attention & care. Professional & caring at all times. It was never a problem for us to visit Oscar while he was in hospital & I have called lots to ask questions at different times. Always there for support & reassurance. Thank you. It was our first cat and our first visit. The staff were very welcoming and we didn't wait very long at all. The vet knew so much about our unusual cat's breed and was very kind and gentle with her. I would highly recommend this clinic. Lovely old house too.
Beautiful, caring staff who genuinely want the best for your pet! A few years ago we had a pup run over and the professionalism and care that was shown then, is still shown now. Annual vaccinations and checkups with a great team
Very happy with Animal Medical Centre’s service, particularly Rob. We took our young pup in who had mysterious lumps appearing all over his body. We had been told different things from other vets and were quite confused. However at our first appointment with Rob he was able to identify the cause of the lumps and have it treated, while explaining everything very clearly and answering all questions. Our pup is now completely lump free two weeks later which has been a massive relief. Not to mention the staff at reception are very friendly and their availability for evening appointments is great. Will be back again!
