I have no hesitation in saying that while this place is simple and unsophisticated, it is indeed a truly amazing dining experience! New to pho I had tried a couple of times to make my own with limited success. This is the benchmark place and the signature taste has people flocking back again and again.
One of many great Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney. This modest shop serve delightful bowls of Pho. Pick your raw beef, shanks, or chicken as you preference. The herbs are fresh. The broth itself was clear yet flavorful, MSG was definitely there, but I had no problem with it. Beef slices were succulent and tender. Mix with chili and herbs to elevate the Pho experience even more and added more depth in flavor. Place was packed when I visited. Waited 20 minutes to get seated. Service was okay, friendly and quick. Loved the atmosphere and crowds. Price was quite okay. Cash only shop BTW. Highly recommended for Pho lovers out there.
Super quick service, cash only. The beef noodles are excellent here. A bit on the pricier side. I would recommend the large raw beef noodle. No English menu !
This place was a childhood favourite due to the quick service and the tasty broth. However my last visit wasn’t as good from memory. They still have a good portion of meat but the quality has really gone down. The meat had a weird aftertaste I didn’t enjoy. Really big restaurant and nice environment though but the quality has gone down since a few years ago.
Tasty pho broth and generous with the meat. We tried a chicken and beef pho, and both were very tasty. Both were served up within minutes of ordering too. At $17 for medium and $19 for large, it's a little pricier than other pho places however, we weren't disappointed with the quality.
I came here not because it's backed by Melissa Leong but my Dad who said that this was the best pho - beating out Melbourne also. This pho restaurant was the biggest I've ever been to, with a nice interior feel to it where you were one up from a typical dirty pho restaurant. It had a nice menu board with your options of only beef or chicken. The pricing wasn't too bad although I am used to Melbourne prices - average $16 medium to large size bowl. Not sure about the additional cost of beef balls bo vien of $8 in a small bowl. The size was generous and the quality of the meat was better than standard. I was impressed with the portion of meat and the broth was the clearest and tastiest I've had. Overall the service was quick as they had to be as it is a very popular restaurant and responsive to some of our requests. Would I say it's the best pho ever? Probably not but it's in the top few at least.
I’m going to report to the police for drug use in the Pho broth jokes aside, the freshness and the use of different parts of one single meat source for a complex yet easy to eat dish - made this place my favourite restaurant in Western Sydney! Absolute destroyed the bowl in 5 minutes after a 40 minutes drive to this place, if you come to Sydney and ask to show you around, be prepared with an empty stomach and cash too because they don’t do card
Price is up again but the quality the soup has gone down. However, it’s still good to have a bowl when you want to eat pho.
The beef noodles here are good but not as fantastic as the used to be when they first opened. The price has really gone up and it's over $20 for a bowl of noodles - that's higher than most other beef noodles elsewhere. Still worth a try though if you haven't been before.
