Was very unhappy, went to pay my car insurance bill and asked if my late husbands name could be taken off, which was no problem. But to my surprise an extra 41 dollars was added to the account. When I asked why I had to suddenly pay so much more, the answer was the women over the age of 70 were deemed to be a bigger risk then men. I was most unhappy about that as I was the main driver, my late husband never drove the car, it was just put on both names. I had to pay 564.85 up from 523.79.  Being a woman this was in my view discrimination. I  contacted another insurance company and insured my car for the same cover and the price was 381 dollars. AMI  we have been insured with you since 1961 and your treatment of me was all about taking more money from an elderly widow who never had an accident. You did me a favor by trying to rip me off, but you did not succeed I saved 183 dollars by going elsewhere.

A disgrace   I needed assistance with trailer flat tire told AMI assist does not cover trailer on car even though I said I would pay all costs I was also given a bum steer on businesses that would not assist. They have no reliable sources must change my cover     Colin Tipper
