There is a nice view of the beach and water from the restaurant and the staff was very nice - though they kind of had to be. I'm not one to complain about food, but one of the curries we ordered tasted extremely salty. We mentioned this to the server who quickly and without hesitation took it back to make it better. The thing is, when it came back it still tasted really salty. When we paid, we were given a good discount due to the food, and for that reason I might give it another go next time I'm in Paihia. I'm hopeful it was just an off day - but the staff were great about it so that is a big plus. Another big plus - the robot that delivers your food. I've never seen that before!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Probably some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Ever! We got the cashew nut stir fry with pork and it was delicious! Full of flavour and generous portions. The satay chicken and ribs were also well worth a try but the butterfly prawns just ok. We had amazing service and the views are stunning too. Vegetarian options: Most stir fry and noodle dishes have a vegetarian option. Kid-friendliness: They have 2x highchairs. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access and a good bit of space between the tables to move around the restaurant.
We were looking for a good takeaway after a long day and decided to stop by. We ordered sweet sour pork, pad Thai, and some spring rolls and some rice for a total of $61. For it's price it felt over priced, and the sweet sour pork was more sweet sour broccoli with only a handful of pork meat. At it's price range we were expecting something good at least. The pad Thai passes and spring rolls did the job. Just didn't sit right with those prices though. Would skip this next time.
Worst food ever. Last night, we ordered a dozen spicy chicken wings and the Rogan Josh as a takeaway. We were then told its a 45 minute wait..which I was ok with. I then collected the food and drove back to our holiday accommodation. The curry was cold and the wings were very dry and tasteless.. not spicy as ordered. The wings were not freshly made as the dark oil colour was deep in the flesh of the chicken skin and the meat had split from the bone. Never again will I support this establishment.... NEVER
My fave restaurant in Northland. My trip is not complete without visiting this place. Superb food, friendly staffs and affordable price.
The food and customer service was amazing ..and guess what a robot carried our food to the table which was really exciting!!
Great food! We came by to eat some quick food. The staff was polite and friendly : Wait time was under 10 minutes and delicious! The prices were a little high but worth it for the food. Definetly recommend to anyone heading to Bay of Islands cruises. It’s just across the street. Note: It gets very crowded in the night as you may have to wait anywhere from 45-75 minutes. The wait is worth it but make sure you have the time :
A large group of us went for dinner on a Saturday night. Despite preordering our meals a number of days in advance & reconfirming when we got there, they forgot 4 of them and had to be reminded twice. Some of our group had well finished their meals before the last ones got theirs. The food was generally ok & tasty but many of the meals were overly spicy even for those used to hot food. It felt like too many diners that night so the kitchen could not cope. Overall not recommended - there are other dining options in Paihia.
The place is great with the thai taste pf course. I will come back more for this good hospitality and its open on boxing day! What a relief for us because the food with garlic and mussel is to die for! The waiter/manager is also great in taking care of us during dining! Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian and seafood option if you keen to order from them!
So glad we ate here for our first night in Paihia! It was the best Tom Yum soup I have ever had! The red curry was delicious too. The staff were friendly and accommodating!
