Altona Pines Take Away

Fish was good, chips could be better quality. Asked for extra salt, they didn’t do it. Service took way too long approx 30 min+. A really small sauce is $2. Price was medium-high for a fish and chips shop. Staff could be more presentable and the shop overall could be more hygienic. Not a dine-in obviously.

Generous portions! Their piece of flake was about 30cm long. That's a nice piece fish. They make a hamburger with the lot with options for pineapple or beetroot. Even though it's nearby for a summer lunch on Altona Beach; I would happily travel there from the beach at Morningside.

Came here on a quiet day and the service was pretty quick, The fish was grilled perfectly the chips were alright but the scallops were very soggy and just fell apart the seagulls enjoyed them though. I've been coming here for over 15 years on and off and they seem to have slipped in quality over the last few.

Staff does not wear masks or gloves and seem unhygienic. Order takes way too long to prepare.
