Brilliant hand cut chips and potato cakes. Their Hot dog in batter is gold! Big burgers, old fashioned fish and chips, just like how it should be. Alex and his wife are treasures of the west and have been for a very long time. I wish them the best of health so they can continue to run the best fish and chip shop in the western suburbs!

I’m so happy we’ve found Alex’s fish and chips! The food is always delicious and the service is always excellent - always met with a smile and speedy service. The best thing about Alex’s is the chips - they’re not the deep fried frozen kind, they’re freshly cut potatoes and it makes such a difference :-

Great fish and chips, and good old fashioned service. A family run business with family values. Makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Best potato cakes I've had, perfect batter to potato ratio.

Alex is the best. Delicious food like no other fish and Chip Shop in Melbourne and on top he is very polite.

The best fish & chip shop in Melbourne. Its nothing special to look at, not appealing from the decor but lovely couple in their 70's and always lovely. Try it!
